Her hair was messy and it tickles his lips. She moved closer to him, a little hesitantly, her arms sliding around his torso.
She was quiet for a moment before responding, her voice sounding a little uncertain. “I love you too.” She sat up, her hair falling in front of her face, and checked the time. “Are you hungry?”
She flew down the stairs and landed lightly in the kitchen, her hands already reaching for ingredients.
She whisked eggs quickly before waving her hand and commanding the whisk to continue without her, pulling away to grab some cinnamon.
Her hair was pulled back in a messy bun, but strands had gotten loose and grazed the back of her neck. Her eyes were keen as she moved around the kitchen, floating up to the cupboards and levitating items with a flick of her hand. Her nightgown was silky and cream, and it was warm against her skin.
