Ruh Roh (One on One)

"Yep. With a spoon."

 

"Counter to the right of the sink," he said pointing.

 

"It wakes you up," he warned, taking a sip. "Don't go crazy."

 

"Famous last words," he muttered as the toast popped up. "Peanut butter?"

 

He brought out a container and slid it over to her, sliding a butter knife after it.

 

He sighed before reaching for her hand.

"Gentle. Like this."

His hand was large and warm and he helped her before pulling away and doing the same on his own.

 

He nodded slowly before frowning, as if remembering where he was.

"That's that, then."

 

"Sugar will do that," he said dryly.

 

"Wonderful. I've made an addict out of you."

 

"That's what we're aiming for."
