She reached her hand over, massaging the back of his neck idly. "I missed you too. You won't be leaving again, right?"
He groaned slightly, but it seemed to be in relief from her action. "No, not for as long as you'll have me."
He frowned, not meeting her gaze. "Well, I'm not really exciting right now, and, and... I can't really do much."
She squinted at him, crossing her arms. "Rowan, are you forgetting about when we first met how cold you were to me? I don't know if I made it clear enough that I liked you, despite your attitude then. How about in the beginning of our relationship when we couldn't touch very much? I stuck with you through that, too, and even then you got better. If you think that I wouldn't want to be with you now, just because of some disease, then I don't know where your head is. I know that I love you, and I don't plan on ever leaving you no matter what."
His gaze flickered up to hers, and a slow smile crossed his lips. "Wow," he said quietly. "What did I do to deserve you?"
His face fell and he looked back down again. "Well, I... I don't know. I'm just... I'm not much right now, Tez."
