Magnolia noticed the boy approaching the spot and flew down to him, her wings glinting in the sunlight. "Are you Sam?"
The girl looked to be about 7 or 8, her dark brown curly hair framing her face. "I'm Magnolia," she said cheerfully. "You're Eden's friend."
She looked uncomfortably. "Magnolia, head back, okay? Alyndar Aspen is probably wondering where you are." The pixie pouted before taking to the skies, disappearing into the woods. Eden sighed, folding her hands. "Listen. We're friends, right?"
"Yeah, well..." She sighed, leaning against a tree. "It's more the possibility. The idea that you thought that I'd done something that cruel."
"Even so. If I knew that it was a possible side effect I would have told you. It's an awful thing to have your friendships forced like that."
She ran her hand through her hair, exhaling slightly. "Yeah, well... you wouldn't be the first." She paused before giving him a small smile. "So... we're good?"
