She laughed brightly, flipping onto her back to look up at the clouds. "I can sense my predators too, but that doesn't protect me from alligators."
Her smile was hesitant and she looked down at the ground. "After the Wars... it was outlawed. But some people still don't listen."
She shrugged slowly, tugging on her hair self-consciously. "Yeah, well... The wings have a large appeal, I guess."
He stuck out his tongue thoughtfully, looking around. "Oh, I have an idea." He closed his hands, holding them for a moment before slowly opening them revealing a purple and black ball floating between them. He removed his hands gingerly as it floated just above the ground, growing wide and flat. After a moment, a strange, Great-Horned Owl hopped out. It didn't look normal. Instead, it was a transparent blue that looked almost like flames. It spread it's wings, before taking flighting, the actions mesmerizing. It circled them a few times before landing on his shoulder.
