He was quiet, his breathing finally calming down. "Could you wake me up if she comes back? She wasn't doing so well before they took her away. I'm worried."
She was afraid to stay, but didn't want to move away. She kept quiet, gently kissing the top of his head.
Her eyes fluttered open before she panicked, accidentally hitting her head on the wall. "Agh- Rowan! I-I'm sorry! You were having a nightmare and I didn't know what to do." She stood up, rubbing the back of her head. "I didn't mean to scare you." She shuffles towards the door. "I'm sorry. Sorry."
He looked more confused than anything, a nervousness in his eyes as he looked at her. "I had a nightmare?" he asked, still bleary from sleep.
"I don't know," he said roughly, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Everything's too fuzzy right now."
She looked disheartened, rubbing her arm. "I'm sorry.." She said quietly. "I know I shouldn't have overstepped like that."
