He shook his head slowly, but it was more in thought. His hands were shaking. “I’ve lost my partner and now apparently I’m subconsciously thinking about my dead mother. How do you think I’m doing?”
She watched him, her expression mixed with worry, sadness, and frustration. "I'm going to figure something out eventually."
"I don't know!" she snapped, suddenly looking panicked. "I don't know. Make everything better? If I can do that, at least. I don't know anything."
He squinted at her, shaking his head slowly. “I can’t spend my life with someone who doesn’t see a problem in being brainwashed to be used in an army. You can understand that.”
He glared at her before standing up and heading to the potions, pulling a glowing blue one off the shelf and pouring it into a glass. He returned to the side of the water, dipping his feet in and drinking the potion slowly. "Fine."
He sighed and pulled off his shirt before slipping into the water, disappearing into the depths below.
