He blinked, flushing slightly. "Thank you.. You're cute too."
She didn’t seem to really hear him, lost in her own sleeping world. “So, so sweet and lovely.”
He chuckled. "Thanks."
“I love that you wear glasses,” she murmured quietly.
He smiled. "Thanks.."
She opened her eyes slightly, looking at the book in front of them. "What are you reading?"
"Just studying alchemical ingredients."
"Oh, wow," she said with a sleepy laugh, her head resting under his jaw. "You're a real nerd now."
He kissed her hair. "Am I?"
"Mm. Wearing glasses and reading equations? You're a full-blown nerd."
"It's not equations! It's plant stuff!"
“That’s even worse, Bug.”
He flushed. "Bug?"
She looked up at him sleepily. “I used to call you that before the attack. Don’t you remember?”
"Oh, right. It did sound familiar."
"What did you used to call me? Beethead?"
"..Sweetheart?"
She nodded slowly, relaxing in his arms. "I loved when you would say that to me."
"I could start doing that again.."
"You don't have to," she said, stretching out. "It just reminds me of simpler days."
