Eden entered tentatively, looking a little nervous. Her hair was down today, with only a few stray flowers dotting the strands. Her wings were hidden underneath a large, brown, woolen cloak and she shut the door behind her. “Hey, Sam.”
He smiled up at her. "Hi, Eden. I was going to go look for ingredients because I'm almost put and I guess I'm asking you to come along with me if you're not doing anything."
She shrugged, sitting on a nearby counter. “I don’t know. I kinda thought we’d stop talking after...” She stopped herself before speaking again. “After you were done studying me.”
Her head shot up immediately. “What? No, no. Sam, I really enjoy your company.” She paused and a flush threatened her cheeks before she cleared her throat and continued on. “I just thought that you were... done or something.”
“I don’t know,” she said, seeming uncomfortable. “I just thought that you might not need me anymore, so...”
She gave him a tentative grin, tucking her hair behind her ear. “I see. Well, then, what are we gathering today?”
She opened the door, blinking in the sudden light. "I learned a new trick," she said cheerfully. "Wanna see?"
