She closed her eyes for a moment, screwing them shut and a little bit of color drained from her face. Her eyelids fluttered open, and her customary golden eyes were now a warm brown.
He blinked, his head cocking. "Although I like your original eye color better.. This will help disguise you."
Her brow furrowed and she blinked, her eyes quickly glowing again. "I can't do it for long, unfortunately. It gives me a headache."
She flushed instantly but tried to play it off, looking over her shoulder to check her wings self-consciously before remembering they were under a cloak. "Ahem. Uh... Just that peculiar pixie look, I guess."
She gave him a shy smile before pausing, a frown crossing her face. "When I woke up the other day..." she began tentatively, eyeing him suspiciously.
She hesitated before sighing, running a hand through her blonde hair. "You were hugging me," she said slowly, remembering. "Really tightly."
He was quiet for a moment, his eyebrow raised. "Well.. When I fell asleep you were doing the same. I tried to wake you, but it didn't work."
She pursed her lips, crossing her arms. "That's a dessert for you guys, right? Like circles of chocolate dough? I've had them a couple times. They smell good. If you had some in your pocket, maybe I would be attracted by the smell and just try to get closer to you."
