Tez pursed her lips as she sat the table, reading a book slowly.
Rowan was on the couch, fast asleep.
She struggled on a word, squinting.
He shifted in his sleep, burying his face in a pillow.
She stood up with a sigh, taking the book as she went to him, kneeling down. "Row?"
He murmured, one eye opening. "Tez...? What's up?"
She watched him with bright eyes. "I'm gonna go see Lark."
He frowned, shifting sleepily. "Why?"
"Cause I need to learn stuff."
"But... don't you want to stay here?"
"Of course I do. But I gotta learn. Then I'll come back here and we can sleep!"
"Do... do you want me to come with?"
She kissed his nose. "If you'd like to. But I can just head over and you can stay if you want."
He frowned. "Will you be long?" he asked sleepily.
She shrugged, resting her head on her hand. "I dunno."
He frowned, shifting slightly. "Are you sure you don't just wanna stay?"
She wrapped an arm around him. "I do! But I gotta learn."
"But..." He sighed before nodding. "Okay. Be back soon, okay?"
