She was stirring the coffee, her lips pursed.
He came over to her with a smile. "Hey. I've made an addict out of you, haven't I?"
She turned to him, a small smile crossing her face. "It's for you!"
He grinned wider, pulling her into an embrace. "I love you."
She buried her face in his shoulder, careful not to spill the coffee. "I love you too."
He kissed the top of her head before pulling away, taking the coffee from her.
"Are you going to be gone for very long?"
"About the normal amount of time."
She grumbled. "Fine.."
"I'm sorry. I have to work."
She sighed. "It's fine."
He huffed. "You should find something to entertain yourself with while I'm gone."
"..Arts and crafts?"
"Maybe. Something that doesn't make you so sad when I'm away."
She tilted her head. "But.. I miss you.."
"I miss you too, but it makes me sad to think of you sitting here by yourself missing me."
"Don't be sad! I'll find something to do."
"Good," he said, satisfied. "Thank you."
She kissed his cheek. "Have a good day today. And don't be sad thinking about me."
"I'll do my best," he said, taking a sip of his coffee.
