"I know," she said, looking concerned. "She passed out on the way over to my house. Some others found her and brought her to me and I managed to piece together some information from her."
They got to the Alyndar's quarters. Golden Enryli had dripped messily onto the ground, leading to a very still Eden lying on a cot, curled up and shaking.
Her eyes were open, but her back was to them, so she didn't notice them enter. "Come along, Sam," the Alyndar said. "Let's get you cleaned up." At the sound of his name, Eden tensed, going still.
The Alyndar sat him on a cot right next to Eden's and placed two fingers on his forehead. It would feel as if she were going through his thoughts and ironing out the wrinkles, smoothing out his worries.
