He rested his head on his hand, his thumb brushing the lip of his mug thoughtfully. He glanced over at her when he spoke, giving her his grin that she would know indicated deep contentment. "Really? I'm glad."
He took it, kissing the back of her hand gently. "You sure are special to me," he murmured, although it sounded more to himself. "Can I ask you a question?"
He considered the table for a moment. "I don't know," he said eventually. "I used to think that I definitely didn't, but... I don't know. Being with you changes things."
She gave him a grin, leaning forward to give him a quick kiss. "I'm not sure. Maybe we should wait a bit before considering."
