"Hm.." she looked around before picking up a small, wooden statue of a rabbit. It wasn't very appealing. "How about this?"
She set it down, going behind a shelf, disappearing for a moment. After a silence she cleared her throat, stepping out and wearing a terribly gaudy hat, adorned with colorful feathers and other things that made it look even more crowded. She posed for him. "How do I look?"
"Rowan," she said, her face adopting a serious look. "You are the most beautiful boy I ever met." She paused. "..And that hat really accentuates that."
He flushed, kissing her forehead and switching the hat back to her head. "I don't trust your description of beautiful."
