She was still shivering, although not nearly as much. A couple minutes passed before she sat up quickly and started a coughing fit into her arm, hunched over with the action.
She finished coughing weakly and looked over her shoulder at him, looking bewildered. "Sam? What are you... what are you doing here?"
She ran her fingers through her hair blearily. "You're sweet, but..." She paused, feeling that her hair was no longer tangled and her gaze darted to the brush. "Did you brush my hair?"
She looked at him for a moment and he would feel a very warm hand on his jaw. "Thank you," she said quietly, dropping her hand. "I don't want to make you sick or anything, but... do you want to stay? You don't have to, I'm not very fun, but... I miss you."
She nodded, looking down at the ground and grabbing the vial on the table distractedly, pouring a small cup of it. "You don't have to stay, but... we could watch a movie or something."
"You don't have to," she hastened nervously. "If you have other stuff to do or... or something. I don't know."
She seemed confused. "Did you light it again? It was going out..." She frowned, running a hand through her hair. "Wasn't it? God, this cough medicine is driving me crazy."
