The grey cloud swirled with maroon Enryli. It seemed a bit more tumultuous and playful than Eden's but it obeyed him, swirling the air around him. "Once everyone has brought down their cloud," Eden said, her eyes fluttering open, "we'll try some group Elemental magic."
The last cloud made it down and Eden nodded slowly. "Alright. So, this is going to be difficult, but just keep your clouds down here. Can I have a volunteer to try this out?"
Her eyes flew across the class and Sam was the only one who raised his hand. There was a pause where she squinted at him amusedly before sighing. "Fine. Sam, c'mere."
She huffed, still avoiding eye contact. "Alright, well, uh... Okay. So, to do this, you need to consider the nature of your Enryli. You should have covered this in some other classes, but really, you understand your Enryli's personality. Mine, for example, is shy and eager to please. Sam?"
She watched his Enryli for a moment before nodding. "Alright, so we can see that there's quite a few things in common. As we get more experienced with sharing magic, we will be able to intuit the other magic without having to talk about it. For now, Sam... consider what you know about my Enryli and I will consider yours, and open your hands towards me. Like this." She splayed her hands towards his, one brow raised.
"Good, there... like that. Okay, so now, you need to direct your Enryli towards mine, still keeping that openness. Don't set me on fire."
He would feel a tentative nudge on the edge of his consciousness, sweet and hesitant. Her cloud had not mixed with his just yet.
It would be terribly easy. Their clouds mixed and maroon and gold swirled around them. There was a new presence in his mind that he would have to account for, and if it had been a bunch of people at once that he was working with, he would see that it could become overwhelming, but the presence was sweet and familiar and kept to itself. Warmth spread in his chest and Eden tilted her head slightly. The union widened the clouds, making it more malleable and controlled.
Eden watched him for a moment, a small flush crossing her cheeks as she considered him. "Well, there we are," she said after a moment, her gaze darting to the class. "Pick a partner and try this."
