"I was a bad artist," he said, wrinkling his nose in disappointment.
She kissed his cheek before perking up. "We can make a new drawing together and sign it!"
"That's a good idea. Can you draw?"
"No, not at all."
"That's... that's fine."
"I can draw a happy face."
"That's great."
She hesitated. "But I don't have to.."
He grinned at her before reaching under a rock, pulling out two used pieces of charcoal. "Here."
She nodded slightly, her brows furrowing. "What should we draw?"
"I'll draw an outline and you can do the details. That sound okay?"
She nodded. "Yeah!"
He nodded, giving her one of the pieces of charcoal and beginning to draw.
She watched, her eyes warm.
He drew an outline of a crouching figure, looking over its shoulder at them.
She tilted her head. "You'll help me, right?"
“Of course.”
She nodded. "What do you think I should add?"
"A face, maybe?"
She looked at it, tilting her head as she added two eyes.
