She tilted her head thoughtfully as they moved, turning down the aisle of flower vendors. "A rose! A rose for the lady?" one vendor called, shoveling a bundle of deep red roses in their faces as they walked by. "Eh... no thank you," Eden said uncertainly, her prim voice a stark contrast to the loud yells of the market people.
She nodded in agreement, moving closer into his side. "At least there's that," she said distractedly, looking at all the flower booths as they walked by. Another vendor waved a handful of white bluebells at them. "Don't forget to stock up before the festival!"
The vendor glowered, squinting at Sam as if he wasn't sure if he was making fun of him or not. "The Festival of Lights! Do you live under a rock?"
Eden squeezed his hand and the vendor huffed. “You gotta buy flowers to celebrate the festival, kid.”
She looked up at him thoughtfully, leaning over to kiss his cheek. "We still don't know where it is."
She took it, twirling it between her thumb and pointer. "This is my flower," she mused, placing it in his hair, reaching to tuck it behind his ear.
She pointed up at the white lanterns thoughtfully. They were painted in gold and they glowed with a warm light. "Those are pretty."
