School shoot-'em-ups.

That's all well and good, but due to personal experience, I still don't like that idea. One day at work a couple were in a parking lot arguing, and a marine was there and very nearly broke into the argument with his gun in hand. ._.

 

Yep. But if everyone has guns, its a problem, if nobody legally has them its a problem. So don't change it, deal with the underlying problems of shootings: mental illness

Not everyone has guns, we don't but that doesn't make me or the rest of my family less dangerous.

This. I don't like hurting people or the idea of people being hurt.

Has anyone ever noticed that in our movies, we can see a character die by getting his limbs snapped and head crushed and it won't phase us, but watching a character get naked strikes up controversy? Violence is okay in our media, but nudity is often not.

And media can certainly influence a culture...

.... Just some thoughts.

 

Simple fact is shootings at schools went up after the latest one in Newton was aired on the news over the entire country. It is the News casters that broadcast specific pieces of information who are the ones influencing other would be shooters to go out and kill because they too crave the attention that that person got on the news.
