Well remember each of the mane 6 represent the elements of harmony, so maybe the elements of harmony do have a relationship with them.

I know that, but the question is what KIND. Are they literally a physical part of them? Or do they just represent them, but the elements themselves are physically separate. Or is it a little bit of both? What's strange to me is how in the Season 1 pilot, they seemed like a representation, but not a physical part. Nightmare Moon may have destroyed the elements, but they were still physically there, but in pieces. Twilight's "spark" is what repaired the damage and revealed that each of the mane six represented one of each element. However, Twilight's element seemingly appeared out of thin air, as the element of magic. So that would imply that maybe her's is both a physical and a representation. Hopefully the next episode answers these questions, because I still find it a little ambiguous. This episode, for example, implied that the elements are physically separate from the ponies, but they still represent them. As they are compatible with the element, but they're still two separate entities, not being a fusion of the two. I guess what I'm really getting at is: Is the pony the element? Or is the element the jewel, and the pony just compatible with it?
I personally think Discord is just trying to get a kick out of life. You can see clearly that he can do whatever the heck he wants just by snapping his fingers. For example: Fluttershy, he couldn't get through to Fluttershy because she was too nice, he gave up and made fluttershy into a bully just from his own magic.
Yes, and... ? That doesn't mean much at the moment. How do we know if altering the elements alters the ponies themselves? Oh, and furthermore, how do we know he can alter the elements? We know he took them, but we don't know if it's within his powers to alter the elements themselves.
Well, from my understanding, he can't alter them, but he CAN REVERSE it everything; should they ever come in contact with the elements again, they would likely be healed. But since Discord has them, they won't. Here's hoping Spike, Derpy, CMCs, Vinyl, And Octavia get some screentime, no?
Pretty much. We know he can reverse things because he did that at the end of the episode— Well, sorta. He gave back the respective ponies their wings and horns back, but they looked like they were still in their "corrupted" states. I wonder what that's going to entail for the next episode. I really doubt Discord has the power to alter the Elements. In theory, the Elements ought to be more powerful than him since it was the Elements that sealed him in the statue in the first place. I'm sure the last thing he wants are the ponies to get in contact with them so they can use them to imprison him again, or defeat him in some other fashion. That brings me back to my previous questions: Is the pony the Element? Or is the jewel the Element, and the pony compatible with it? I'm thinking it's the latter from what I've seen. I watched this episode again a little while ago and what Celestia said pretty much helps confirm this idea because she mentioned her and Luna used to be linked to the Elements, but they no longer are. So that suggests the ponies are NOT the Elements, but merely are compatible with them. Therefore, if Discord could alter the Elements, it'd essentially be useless. Why not just destroy them? So, Discord is actually corrupting the ponies themselves. I also think of these questions as well: Does the pony represent the jewel? Or does the jewel represent the pony? That one I'm not so sure about yet. For a "kids show," it sure makes me think an awful lot. I need to stop thinking about this so seriously. Who am I kidding? I'm enjoying this. XD

We know he stole them from Canterlot Tower, which apparently is a place not even Princess Luna could unlock. Discord stole the Elements from that place through sheer power of chaos. If he can pull that off, i'm sure he can do something to either the elements, or the ponies wielding them. As far as we've seen Discord, we can tell he can do anything he wants if he wills it to be.
Discord wins. Mane 6 lose. Season 2 finishes. Season 3 starts. :derpe: Anyways, just wait for Episode 2 Season 2/Episode 28 you guys...
My thoughts: 1. Q makes Discord a total troll in the best possible sense. 2. I almost died laughing at 'I know where you live' and many other hilarious references (Chocolate RAIN! and The Game: You Lose). 3. Season 2 is going to blow my mortal mind away if this masterpiece is any indicator (Forget story, it's a kids show). 4. I am sad that Pinkie didn't become Pinkamena when she got, umm... trolled (?). 5. The memes that are going to come out of this, along with the already-posted Applejack 'I Lied' and Chocolate Rain, are going to be even better than the ones we have now.
You know what, i think in this episode, they were actually prepping the CMCs to become the new main characters :derpe:

At first I thought Fluttershy's conversion to discord was cheap, but now that I think about it. She was so kind that discord could not trick her and so had to just directly convert her to mean.
I'm still going by the theory that Discord was somehow responsible for Nightmare Moon. Look at what Discord did to the Mane six in this episode. Basically, the same thing happened to Luna. Of course i keep in mind that Celestia said both her AND Luna defeated Discord, it's not a stretch to say one of the following: 1) Celestia and Luna defeated Discord, but he "discorded" Luna and she'd become Nightmare Moon in time. 2) Nightmare Moon indirectly assisted in defeating Discord. 3) Celestia and Nightmare Moon unwillingly co-operated to defeat Discord. That's just a few. Remember, a story can be twisted before it breaks and causes plotholes. Example: Season 1 Season 2
