speaking of windows, here are some more bloopers (errors) in animation from me: (watched it already 5 times xD) (me and sister foud out these today) Twilight on window off Twilight on window on Twilight on window off Twilight on window on speaking of windows: look, blue pony window is next to Discord one. wait, what's that red blue window doing there? (2 times (down left window) ) and purple-blue pony window is across that red-blue window. wait, what?
Well, one of those pictures shows two of those "red & blue" windows. Maybe there are more of the other windows as well?
One of those pictures looks like it came out of a video game. As for the mistakes, I dun wanna tink about it. Stop ruining my ignorant bliss.
I am pretty sure this episode was animated before the brony fandom took off. They may now either be more careful, or maybe they love that we care enough to point out their mistakes and will continue to make them.
Aside from the foreshadowing from a member in the chat during our Synchtube session, I found the episode very enjoyable. Discord, while still has me wishing that Tim Curry had been hired to voice him, was very well done and had me hoping that he's more than just a one-shot villain. My one disappointment? Luna was only mentioned. (And yes, I banned that member from my channel. I don't consider him a friend despite knowing him for last three years, so it mattered not to me)
I noticed the discrepancies as well, it definitely bugged me while I was watching it, but I couldn't really put my finger on it til you pointed it out.
hey, I watched it 5 times.... but I had help from my sister who watched it 4 times.. so 2 of us work better together xD
I watched it twice, and the second time was totally unintentional. I just hit play and...couldn't look away. And I never watch anything twice.
Though it's not too big of a deal, I'm glad Derpy was in the first episode. Everyone keeps telling me no but when Discord shows Rainbow Dash the vision of Cloudsdale crumbling Derpy was one of the ponies in panic. No one who is a real Derpy fan could have missed it.
Okay, I'm back, and I've got THEORIES. Pinkie's Hair Pinkie's hair deflating seemed like a natural revertion as a consequence of depression, a depression seemingly being brought about by being denied the one thing that seperates her from her childhood. I posted a while ago that Pinkie Pie seemed to construct her life of partying on top of her miserable childhood. This would mean that the very foundations of her personality are built upon depression and misery, and how she can supress these with parties and friends, the opposite of what she was exposed to as a filly. Now, should she have these removed, she is forced to revert to her childhood, hence the deflation. On my theory (which is just a theory) Deflation = Reverting What we witnessed in season two was different. Pinkie Pie had never been ridiculed before. She had been led to believe that she was abandoned (hence reverting), but that is passive. Discord led Pinkie to believe that her friends hadn't left her, but directly insulted and ridiculed her, which is agressive. She had not come into contact with behaviour like this before, therefore there was nothing to revert back to. Should deflating hair truly be a side effect of reliving her childhood, it would not deflate if being ridiculed was not present during said childhood. This only holds weight should it be true that her hair is not a direct indicator of her emotions, rather a side effect of a specific psychological recollection. If otherwise, then that whole theory goes out the window and I expect Lauren Faust to come by my house and apologize. Or at least come by my house. Lauren, please, I love you. The Elements I'm not too sure on this topic, really. I do recall it being stated clearly several times that each pony was 'representative' of a certain element. I'm guessing that the elements in physical form (the jewels or whatever) are something of a universal hub of that element, controlling or centralizing whatever it is they are. For example, should the element of honesty be destroyed permanently, all ponies across Equestria would become deceitful and dishonest. Maybe the ponies serve as a 'back up' to the elements, which would make some form of sense given the events of Season 1: Episode 2. As said, I'm still not too sure on this, so there are many holes in my theory. It does interest me though, and I'll probably be chewing over this in physics and biology tomorrow. Damn it, why can't there be a pony A level? I'd ace it.
