Spoiler: blargh Well, when Luna showed up to relieve Celestia of her guard duty she told her to go rest. Even the princesses need sleep. So perhaps Luna is nocturnal, or from her duties has become accustomed to sleeping throughout the entire day until it's time for her to guard the night.
All I can say is... BEST! EPISODE! EVER! Loved Luna's "Did I miss anything?" XD (How do you put Spoilers?)

Spoiler: Spoiler I loved the end of the fight scene where it was showing them doing awesome things and Pinkie Pie just had her party cannon. At first I thought Cadence was a Discorded Screwball
Spoiler: My favourite bit The scene where Celestia and the Changeling Queen had a horn battle, and Celestia lost. You can't tell me that a manly tear wasn't shed when you saw that crown topple in slow-motion. And then she told the mane six to get the elements; totally epic. All in all though, every second was just spectacular. There were no bits that were pointless at all.
Lyra has been my favorite background character since I first saw her. I can't believe she spoke. My jaw dropped and my eyes started to water. Don't know if anyone was excited as I was. I just finished the first half and it was so good I don't know if I can handle part 2 right now.
Yes, I love Lyra! And Colage too. My jaw fell to the floor and out into the next room. Then after I was able to calculate what I had witnessed I screamed.
Just finished part 2 and WOW! This episode was the best ever. Once the HD version comes out I think I'll watch it maybe 27 times more before dinner, then 19 more before bed. EDIT: Changed my mind, watching it again now.
Just finished watching both. Throughout the entire second episode, I was thinking "What's Luna doing throughout all of this!?" It never really did say, now did it...
That was the best episodes ever, I had a tear on my bucking eye!. All i have to say is AWESOME. DJ-P0N3 Was awesome
Spoiler: My reaction to both episodes OH GOD OH GOD OH YES OH YES OH NO OH MURDER HER NOW NO YOU IDIOTS OH GOD YES NO YES NO BALLS **** NO OH GOD TWINS DERP NO OH CHRIST WHY NO YES AAAAAH NOOOO YES WHY TEAR CRY SOB NOO YES NO AWWW D'AWWW HELL YES B'AWWW CRYING NOW I really enjoyed both episodes, the music was magnificent and the way they handled the plot was nice. Luna's and Vinyl's roles, albeit small, were a good addition. Also Lyra and Colgate talking was awesome. I really loved S. Armour's voice and real Cadence is an amazing character. The evil queen of rotten Emmentaler Cheese ponies was spectacular as was her theme song. I cried. I honestly did. And I could not be happier. A great season finale.
