I need to tie my sisters to chairs, force their eyes open, and force them to watch this. Hahahaha... Of course then they'd use these combos on me somehow. ... Hahaha, I was just thinking of combos like that last night for some reason. *goes to teach brother combos* Here's my bad habit again I wonder if any parents saw this and were like "...I NEED TO TALK TO MY SISTER" or something. That would be awesome.
I had a lot of fun watching this episode. Well done. :3 Animators? You disappoint me. I found an Error in this Episode that wasn't hard to miss. Berry punch in the Race. Berry punch in the Stands? I loled when i saw that.
Thank you for episode. Again a good one (actually there is no single episode i find bad). I need to watch again for sure I understand correctly the integer of this episode. I loved a lot the fact of Rarity sent the letter (even if we know it thanks to Lesson zero). I look foward to the other characters will send their letters ! The scene where Rarity discover the picture drawn by Sweetie Bell has me to pinch my heart ^^ (so beautiful scene :') PKFFX : I guess too "ONE DAY" will become a meme soon.
Meh, clones are old news, they happen in pretty much every other episode with a lot of ponies. It's weird to see people point it out pretty much every episode, although thankfully it's usually to point out the humour rather than complain about the animators. I do expect some fans to genuinely freak out though. >_> I don't blame the animators, they're only human. In fact, I just laugh at some of the little goofs. Sometimes I think they do some of them on purpose just to mess with us... I...might have teared up a little...j-just a little... :'c I actually didn't expect the twist, though in hindsight I wonder how I didn't figure it out! Spike? Nah, he'll be fine. He's only the postal service for six ponies, and most of the letters are pretty short and simple anyway. ^_^ I'm an only child, but I loved this episode anyway! I kind of want an older sibling now! Mom and dad better work on tha--oh. Right. Well, whatever~
If I didn't like Sweetie Bell before this episode, I sure do now. I felt so bad for her when Rarity was scolding her, and she looked like she was going to cry, and the big d'aww moment where Rarity came to her senses was handled very nicely. I think it's a great representation of the sometimes troublesome relationship between younger, and older sisters. It could probably be applied to a mother/daughter relationship as well, with Sweetie Bell just wanting to help Rarity out, but instead making messes because of her lack of know-how. I'm sure there are lots of parents out there who can relate to that situation.
As others have said already, I really teared up in this episode. Sweetie Bell's picture she made got me pretty good, and when she found out Rarity was the one in the race, it was so heart warming. As Scootaloo above said, it made me like sweetie bell a lot more than I did (kinda like Rarity in 'A Dog and Pony Show').
my turn to post: so, I think this was one swell episode. not to crazy, after Luna Eclipse, and Lesson Zero, perfect calm down. now for story: We saw Rarity's parent's, that was interesting. Seems like Rarity's dad is sports fan (his cutie mark), so that figures who's Sweety Bell more alike. I didn't really like Rarity's attitude when she realized 2 times that Sweety Bell wanted and helped her, but kept her nose up. But, by getting dirty for her sister in the end of episode made everything all good again. Applejack - awkward moment now for bloopers.. well not yet since I yet have to watch it 3rd time, although, I found one old blooper renewing. I'll post in in couple hours. (@ creators of show: I'm not being too critical, bloopers is one of thins I love about the show, and I wouldn't watch it so much in detail if I didn't like your work so much. Bloopers show that you're just humans ponies and that you're awesome ponies for creating the show. thank you from bottom of my heart)
*Returns Brohoof* As far as the episode goes, I liked it. The whole episode had so much d'aww and I always wanted to see more of the relationship between the CMC and their respective siblings. Although I'm kinda disappointed that Scootaloo was absent entirely, so far they have not elaborated on her relationship with Cheerilee, or even mentioned it.
ok, so I told I'd post and I post: one blooper I noticed before seems to be only one in this episode (didn't take note on Applejack's flicks) seems like Big Macintosh's sparkles on cutie mark are back.
This episode was so good! I thought right after it I hope that my two nieces saw it. It showed how sisters need to be to each other. They are still going a great job at giving all the ponies believable flaws and ways to overcome and learn from them. Good quality stuff here! And that it was all Rarity all the time made it that much better. This season has stayed strong from the beginning, seems like no sophomore slump for this show. The first time I watched it, I was one that didn't notice it was Rarity in the race until the end. Total 'daww moment for me. Second time, I watched closer and they did have the eye color and hair as giveaways. The story just drew me in that much I guess. Being a younger sibling myself I was grinning all silly when Rarity saw all the good that came from Sweetie Bell's 'helping'. When they showed the picture she made for Rarity the room got all sorts of dusty here. Also, first episode without Twilight Sparkle? Goes to show that the other characters have very strong personalities and can carry the show on their own merits! /And further confirmation that Rarity is Best Pony.
haha, I like the way you put that. It's the first episode which was entirely devoid of Twilight Sparkle, but in other episodes such as Stare Master (s1.e17 I believe) Twilight Sparkle wasn't shown anywhere during the episode either, save for maybe at the very end for ten seconds. Oh, and Rarity cannot be best pony, as she is made not of pony, but of marshmallow.
I thought I noticed two Cloidkickers as well. One minute she's in the race, and the "camera" shows the audience and it looks like she's in the audience. Another part where Twilight was in Stare Master was when Flutershy meets up with her on her way back to her cottage. When I first saw this episode (actually as soon as I finished watching it) I thought it was alright and not one of the better episodes. But now that I let the events of the episode sink in, it's got to be the cutest and sweetest episode EVER! I mean that scene where Rarity sees that picture the Sweetie Belles made? Just thinking about it now get's me all teary-eyed! As well as the end where it was Rarity and not Applejack that finished the race with Sweetie Belle! Did not see that coming!. Awesome to see another of the mane sixs parents! Also, until/if we actually see them in the present, I'll still be a little skeptical that the parents Pinkie described in Cutie Mark Chronicles are even her real parents. All in all, this was a pretty awesome episode!
