Oh wow. This episode is out already?! I missed it completely. I thought it was coming out next week. >.>
I'm not sure what to think of this one. The CMCs trying to bowl was really funny, and Apple Bloom being forced to act out all of her fake special talents at one time was amusing as well, but I felt like it lacked something that the previous two episodes had. Maybe it's because I feel like they already touched on the lesson learned here before, or that some things seemed out of character, particularly where Scoots and Sweetie let Apple Bloom walk off into the Everfree Forest all by herself. Or the part where Zecora leaves AB all alone in her hut with those herbs. It's like she was just asking for trouble.
Better late than never. I would say that The Big Lebowski reference is what really made this episode shine. I have never seen the movie but I did take the time to see it yesterday. I didn't expect much from it but man was I wrong. To be referenced in My Little Pony. That took guts dude. As for the episode: Zecora had plenty of screen time in this episode. Applebloom didn't go insane like someponies had thought. Its another great episode of season 2 with a special surpise in the beginning. P.S: I highly recommend everypony to see The Big Lebowski. After seeing it, it became one of my favorite movies. Its a mature film, so don't watch if you're underage
I've got to say, The Big Lebowski reference was freakin' beautiful, and it's always great to see more Zecora, but I REALLY hope the CMCs get their marks this season. I mean, not that I don't enjoy watching their antics, but I'm really excited to see what their marks'll be.
Although it's already been said, this reference made the episode. It also shows that, given the popularity of the first season, that they're really stepping up their game for season 2, which is very exciting.
So, umm...positives... ...Apple Bloom geting her Cutie Mark was great, even if it was only temporarirly... ...Zecora is a great character and I love seeing more of her... ...I like Diamond Tiara geting some karmic comeuppance...
See? Was that so hard? It's okay to discuss the negative aspects of episode, but don't focus only on the negative.
