Jeez...have you slept in two days? lol It took me like three weeks to rewatch all three seasons. To answer your question, there will be a season 4.
Yep season 4 was confirmed quite some time ago, and it'll be 26-epsiodes, theres also a spin-off series about the characters as humans called Equestria Girls coming out between seasons 3 & 4 of the mane series. So yeah pony isn't going anywehre.
And look how bad S3 was compared to S2. MLP is ending up like Pokèmon, episodes keep coming out, and the quality keeps degrading, until eventually it turns into something that the writers just shove at our faces in hopes we like it. I think it was confirmed.
Opinions opinions, Season 3 was Bipolar, but it had its moments and it gave us Sleepless In Ponyville arguably one of the best episodes of the series. Please NEVER compare MLP to Pokemon again, its just...WRONG! And yes Equestria Girls is confirmed but its a spin-off and no ones gonna force anyone to watch it.
I'm holding out a lot of hope for season 4. I like the new change. Can't wait to see how they are going to play it out. It's funny watching people complain and saying they're not a brony anymore....like anyone actually gives a damn. However I'm also surprised at the amount of people who enjoyed the season 3 finale.
There's absolutely no need to worry. Season 3 was fairly solid *I plan to marathon the season tomorrow, since I did skip one or two episodes*, and the finale, though rushed...was still good, at least in my opinion. Ponies aren't leaving any time soon. The show is still very, very good and still very enjoyable.
Declining quality is less of a personal opinion than an inevitable fact when companies like Hasbro force the writing staff to focus on toy sales over quality writing. It happened to Batman, it happened to the Ninja Turtles, it even happened to Doctor Who. Unless Bronies everywhere put their foot (or hoof) down, it will happen to Friendship is Magic. The average Brony is an 18-30 year old, with a semi-obsessive personality and plenty of disposable income. Ignoring such a large and profitable demographic is just bad business. We need to make it clear that Bronies are a force to be reckoned with, as well as the driving force behind the show's success.
Gonna have to disagree with you there. A lot of us are either in highschool or college - or fairly recent college graduates. Not many of us have a lot of disposable income.
I'm afraid the legions of Doctor Who fans would disagree with you. As for Batman, what do you mean? The New 52 Batman that came along with the reboot? Or are you talking about the Dark knight series of movies? I liked both of those actually. And I'm with Frost. I'd like some of that disposable income, can I have some? I'd sure as hell like to have some more money aside for groceries and rent. Putting our hoof down? Make sure we are a force to be reckoned with?! I WILL ROUSE THE PROLETARIAT AND WE WILL ROUTE THE FATTENING BOURGEOISIE FROM THEIR HOMES. Your statement suggests that all brony's share the same perspective on the matter. I'm afraid I've encountered more people still content with the show than those who "Doomsay" the end of the show, and the fandom. I'm sorry, but... I wish I had more of a less concise and rude seeming way to put this: To me, Declining quality is a matter of personal opinion, and not an inevitable fact. "Quality" is an abstract concept that cannot be measured or calculated. Well, okay, with CERTAIN things quality can be calculated. But not with art. Art is not something where quality can be defined as a definitive value. Also, this is not the beginning of some exodus. I've been apart of a lot of things were people believed that they had the power to oust a fandom: Every single WoW expansion I played that happened, I am also a part of the Supernatural fandom: Many fans didn't like the character development in Season 4. We are now on Season 8 and its still the biggest fandom on Tumblr (Accounts for 12% of Tumblr's content actually). You can have your opinion. As a matter of fact, you are ENTITLED to your opinion. Don't let anybody ever make you feel bad about having it. If anybody asks you your opinion, you stick to your guns. But I regret to inform you, your opinion doesn't persuade me. I still maintain my position on the matter. There is research?! AWESOME! Can I see it? xD
Actually, that very thing can spur a show to greatness. Why does anyone remember the G1 Transformers cartoon? Well, it had some great characters. But it really got cemented in our 12-year-old brains when Optimus gave up the spark in the '86 film. Know why that was written in? Because Hasbro wanted to introduce a new line of toys.
Also unlike season 3 which was just 13 episodes season 4 is supposed to be the full 26. I'm hoping this time it won't feel rushed. In fact I have more hope for season 4 than I did for season 3.
Every show based on a toy line is going to have to factor in the merchandising. That's why there's a show at all. Point is, talented writers can turn those challenges into something great. And FiM has very talented writers.
Allow me to apologize for rushing to conclusions. Let me explain where I went wrong. 1. Much of my source material was outdated. I failed to take into account how the fandom has grown and changed since it began. 2. My research did not cover the international community, and instead focused on American Bronies. 3. I failed to realize that the U.S. government considers 'disposable income' to be anything left over after taxes. Thus, rent, groceries, and gas all fall under 'disposable income." 4. Sorry. Please don't send me to the Moon.
Ah, don't feel bad about it Ridley, everypony makes mistakes and an opinion is always an opinion and you are entitled to it. No need to send you to the moon. That's only for very very bad ponies. Anyways, I couldn't be more excited about season 4. I can't wait to see what it brings us. I will definitely be following it. Hasbro better make it count, for the sake of her fans and Hasbro it's self. Even though Hasbro has been quite harsh to the brony community lately. I trust the writers and animators to make a My Little Pony season that blows the previous ones out of the water, even though S1, 2 and 3 were already awesome. If S4 isn't good, then well... That would suck. But I trust them on this one. We'll see how it turns out.
