I think this is the first time that the comics did something that became canon in the show. Pretty cool episode and, like last week, we get 3 lessons crammed into 1 episode. Don't have any tidbits other than having a new creature to keep my OC from EVER going camping near Ponyville!! Overall: 7/10 Side Note: Too bad we never got to see Captain Steela. Oh well.
It was based off of an arc in the comics? Wow. I need to get up to speed with the comics. XD It's another one of those episodes that I liked better than I thought I would. All the stories were good, my favorite probably being the one with Mistmane. Just remember kids, if you're ever stuck in a cave, just make your way through the darkness to hop on a stream leading to a waterfall, and everything will be just fine.
You mean Daring Done. Daring Don't was the episode where the Mane 6 first met Daring. And yeah, I'm guessing we won't see an episode about Cleopatra pony until her LoM comic comes out.
You know what it reminded me of? This: I have fond memories of that show. I used to watch it all the time as a kid. It gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Just like this episode. This really feels like "My Little Pony does the Storyteller". It's perhaps the best tribute to the recently deceased John Hurt.

Based on how she always has Sweetie Belle carry her bags, I think if Vern ever has kids, she'll be one of those moms that gets her kids to do EVERYTHING for her. "Can you get my ice cream out of the freezer? Can you fetch my purse? Can you come from the next room and hand me that thing that's 5 feet away from me?" Anyone have parents who did that?
