But here, it's even worse. The MCU is still going, meaning we eventually got the reveal that there WAS a real Mandarin, who will be the main villain in the Shang-Chi movie. Here? Nothing. All that buildup, all that potential, down the drain. And keep in mind, this revelation also reveals that it was Discord who brought King Sombra back to life, yet Discord never gets punished for that. Overall, a very disappointing ending not only to the season, but to the show as a whole.
I was okay with it but for one thing. Chrysalis : Explains how the shards prevent all magic and to stay away from them. Starlight Glimmer: LOL! Mary Sue magic is go! *completely ignores shards magic prevention* Okay two, three things. Fizzlepop Berrytwist deserved way more than the paltry one cameo shot she got. Also, just another weak cameo shot of any Kirin? They deserved better too.
Way too predictable for my taste. I suspected grogar to be Discord from early on. The movie cameos were... meh. They just add more questions. Also hated to see baccoon head become canon for those seconds. It makes the already weak timeline fill up with even more contradictions and gaps that never will be actually explained. I think it's on my top 3 worst mlp season finales.
