The end of the month has come, and the judges have made their decisions! This months judges are: Judge 1: The Nice Guy Judge 2: The Quiet Guy Judge 3: The Critical Girl First to the table, we have Lollipop's Picture! Spoiler: Judge 1 No Comments Creativity: 8/10 Skill: 5/6 Effort: 4/4 Total: 17 Spoiler: Judge 2 No Comments Creativity: 7/10 Skill: 4/6 Effort: 3/4 Total: 14 Spoiler: Judge 3 It shows the passage of time on multiple levels in the image. The details in the tree and the different levels of coloring show the skill of the artist, even though her style is simplistic. Creativity: 7/10 Skill: 5/6 Effort: 2/4 Total: 14 Lollipop has been awarded a total of 45 points! Second to the table we have Jhera's FanFiction! Spoiler: Judge 1 I’m not sure it really captured the theme, but I liked the story itself. I noticed a few errors, like “arms” instead of “legs.” Little idiosyncrasies that a casual reader might miss. The writer did some research, rather than just make up scenes from the future. Creativity: 7/10 Skill: 4/6 Effort: 3/4 Total: 14 Spoiler: Judge 2 No Comments Creativity: 8/10 Skill: 4/6 Effort: 4/4 Total: 16 Spoiler: Judge 3 As a story, while there isn’t much of a central plot basis or form of conflict in the story, it’s still well-written, and I enjoy the approach to viewing the future. However, while touching on the subject of time, I didn’t see much about the progression of it. Creativity: 6/10 Skill: 3/6 Effort: 4/4 Total: 13 Jhera has received a total of 43 points! Last to the table is Flutteryshy's Music! Spoiler: Judge 1 Maybe one has to be familiar with Dr. Who in order to get it? I'm not. Nice music though. Creativity: 6/10 Skill: 4/6 Effort: 3/4 Total: 13 Spoiler: Judge 2 No Comment Creativity: 8/10 Skill: 4/6 Effort: 2/4 Total: 14 Spoiler: Judge 3 It’s not an obvious medium to choose, and a very different approach to the subject! Creativity: 8/10 Skill: 3/6 Effort: 2/4 Total: 13 Flutteryshy has achieved 40 points! In conclusion, this was actually a really close race. One judge opinion could've completely turned the contest around from the others! CONGRATULATIONS TO SICK LOLLIPOP Your victory was won, but not by any grand margin. I wouldn't be surprised if another contestant were able to move beyond that score in a following month.
Fixed my previous quote. Grats Lollipop! That was definitely close. Eight, go tell Nice Guy that I count arms/legs on a pony as the same thing. EDIT: I'm surprised he didn't point out my deck/desk typo.
W00t!!! I won!! Thanks for the congrats, guys!! But like Eight said, not by a big margin. That just means I'll have to step up my game for the next competition. Criticism always pushes me harder then anything. So watch out, everypony! So Eight Star, concerning my prize, I would love a fic. As far as a plot goes, I think it'll be best left to you; I was thinking something along the lines of Lolli discovering more about the Order's secrets.
