To anypony interested this thread is for those that come up with quotes or proverbs. I have a knack for creating both and have not found a viable thread to put them in, so I took the initiative and created one. If this is a repeat of a thread then I am sorry I did not know where it was. So I guess I will start this off. "The time for peace has come and gone. Only those who's lives are dedicated to war can save you now." "Do not worry if you lose your way, we are always watching ensuring your safety from the dreaded evil in the world." "The enemy will always have the upper hand, but what we have is much better faith in each other. For without this faith we will falter and we will die, but even then we will win for we will die smiling."
"Fate is a fickle thing, it points us in the right direction but the rest we must discover for ourselves." - off the top of my head
"To lead a life led by others, is to live but a shadow of anothers dreams" "Fear of being recognised for who you truly are is the most common phobia in the world" "When you wear a mask to hide yourself from others, be mindful that if you wear it too often, it will no longer come off"
"If one's taste in music does not reflect their appearance, it mirrors the inner workings of their soul." "No, I fear neither word nor pen. Those who express themselves have little left to hide. No, it is the quiet ones I fear." "Don't think you're not negligent. When you don't neglect doing something, you neglect not doing it." "Only the truly oblivious will find peace through war." "People tell me there is a consequence for everything. Have they pondered the consequences of such a belief?" ~Me
Something I've observed in life: "When playing hide and seek, people will look in the first place they'd hide in."
This is very true^ nice one there Dwynter. "Weakness is just our minds saying we cannot do something, doubt is the same. Ignore both and you will come out stronger than you were before."
"Those who live in the shadows of the others won't feel the rays of the sun." The next one ain't mine, but after a while, it kind of adapted to me saying it a lot of times: "Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing i know." and it transformed into: "Intelligence is the heaviest burden one can carry." "Quality over quantity - One well placed shot of a gun is deadlier than a thousand missed." "Happiness is the greatest gift one can receive." "The best listeners are deaf people." "Not enhancing the learned lesson is a lesson not learned." "5 is bigger than 10." "Those who speak loud hide their insecurity behind 'big' words."
"What's that nonsense of travelling to Rome?" "According to you, the Volga is 4 mile wide, of course crossing it isn't defying." Both quotes I remember from a dream, made sense back then.
"A great leader always leads from the front, where his death will inspire others to rise and take his place so that his name is not forgotten to history."
"It saddens me that in our society, people are more respected for their actions than for their intentions."
"Communism did not take because it fails to take into account human nature. Capitalism however accounts for it far too well." A corollary I have to this is: "In political debate, the truth usually is not held by either the left or the right, but the unspoken centre."
The center is that point between everyone to the left and everyone to the right of you. Or in brief form, Everyone's a moderate. In the beginning, there was Adam. The nature of Adam was not the nature of Cain. So we see even human nature may evolve, Though in particular time the latest model stone-like will remain. On a serious note, though, natures don't work like that. Talking about the nature of circles, for example, doesn't say that circles have to be one precise thing: it only suggests that all things that aren't round aren't circles. Nevertheless, there are infinite possibilities for perfectly round objects--they can be large, small, blue, red, or contain rainbow dash, and it is perfectly logical for a red circle to become a blue circle; it does not contradict circle-nature. Likewise, human nature only states that humans can't not be humans, which is basic logical truth: A = A. That doesn't mean, however, that there isn't significant possibility within the constraints of that nature: That is to say, that there is a difference between the best human I can be and the worst human I can be, though I can never make myself inhuman.
Self made quotes you say? Not really a quote here, more how I view life. There are three basic principals of life that I live by. You can trace essentially everything I do and say to these three core beliefs that make up me. 1. I make my own purpose in life. I intend to follow my dreams and live life how I want, not how others what me to live. Life is like a game, and I intend to win. 2. Question Everything. 3. I'm in everything for fun and laughs.
