Cobraheart walked beside retalius whispering to him. "okay retalius I'm not sure exactly but I believe the main hub is on the second floor. Anyway you are the one in the commanders uniform so your in charge"
The ash whispered again to Retalius, ''Okay then. If you need a diversion, I'll be waiting for your signal.''
"Will we be allowed upstairs? Surely the security'd be higher up there, right?" Haze looked around the room. Their were stairs on both sides of the room, to the right and left. The guards'd surely see them if they tried to go up. What on earth could they do? "Maybe... A diversion Would be handy."
The ashes gathered in a small ball, then formed the usual pony shape of Ashes. "Okay. Got a plan: you take the stairs on the right, i take the stairs on the left, and make a good diversion. Ready?" (Sorry for that late reply...)
"Right. I'll go up and try and hack into the system, get some info on whether there's other bases. If anyone wants to come with me, okay, but the others should stay here. Let's go." Haze waited near the bottom of the stairs to the right, for the diversion on the other side. The machine in the middle made it impossible to see when something happened, so Haze just waited for a reaction from the guards around her.
In a big flash, the machine made a loud noise, and sparkles appeared over it. In fact, they were ashes, but the movement they made, with the light, gave the illusion of electricity running in the air. The guards quikcly went around it to see what was happening.
Haze turned and began up the stairs. looking up, she saw shadows of ponies descending them, so she swung back down at the bottom, and waited for them to pass. The two ponies legged it past to see what was happening, and Haze flew up the stairs speedily. She reached a door with a circular window, and looking inside she saw nopony in there. She slowly pushed it open, and peered inside. The room was small, crowded with computers and machines along the walls, and flashing lights. There was a window over-looking the chaos in the last room, and a glass box where the guard had previously stood. There was also a giant screen, with buttons underneath. She walked up to it, when a voice blared out. "Please give your codename and password." "Easy." Haze rubbed her hooves together as the screen flickered on and the computer fired up. There was a bar for the codename, and a bar for the password. There was a name on the badge of Haze's armor. "Moon GLow, 'Dark Fox'". She put 'Dark Fox' in the Codename slot. Now for the password. Haze took out a disc and inserted it into the drive. After a few seconds, the Password section started flickering with letters faster than you could ever take it in. The device worked by testing every single possible password, starting with 'AAAAAAAA', then 'AAAAAAAB'. It went through a couple thousand possible passwords per second. after 8 seconds waiting, a message popped up saying "CALENDAR". Haze pressed enter. Easy enough! She was in!
