I thought it would be a fun idea to see what's currently on everyone's bookshelves, similar to this thread (which has become really, really dead). To get us started, here's mine: Sorry about the blurriness in some of the photos, my camera's pretty sub-par and the light wasn't great in my room either. If you're interested in any of the books and want to know more about them, just ask I'd definitely recommend them all, lots of great stories in there.
I never had a bookshelf, but I do have book boxes lol. Lots and lots of cardboard boxes... they're in the garage, I should really do something with them, just don't know what.
I have a book shelf where I keep all of the books I want to have access to on demand. The rest, I have in totes in my room or downstairs or in the garage. OP has quite a few books that I also have, but also quite a few I've never even heard of.
Which book shelf? I have 3 shelves of boo- no, wait 4 bookshe;ves in my room, 6 on the landing, etc, etc. Nuff said.
A library... With a little bit of walking space. Once I get my camera ready, I will... Also, tomorrow hopefully, when my parents are not home
In my house, instead of keeping all the books in one bookshelf, we've scattered them across the house. There are 4 smaller bookshelfs upstairs and a large on downstairs. And our family hardly does any reading. I'll post the pictures tomorrow, as it'll be a bit awkward taking the pictures now.
I don't have a book shelf, all my books are crammed into my closet. I do have a shelf for my manga though and all the books I had as a kid and stuffed into boxes in a storage unit....I wish I had room for a shelf.
I don't have much room in my room for a bookshelf. It's full of a wardrobe, a bed and a pretty large desk, among other things... Instead, I store my books in a space at the top of my wardrobe. I was quite into reading, but I haven't really been sucked into a book for a while... I think the last book I really got into was... maaaybe Necropolis. Hmmm... Never got round to reading War of the Worlds. I meant to read that. We also have a bookshelf down stairs, but I prefer to keep my stuff separate.
I have a bookcase, but a really poor camera so I'll just list it: - A Game Of Thrones - All the Skulduggery Pleasant books - S***** ** **** (NSFW) - All the Alex Rider books - 5 Amazing Spiderman novelletes - Of Mice and Men - Holes - Room 13 - The Dr Who series of mini-novels - An Inspector Calls (play) - A dozen game guides - Guiness Book of World Records 2004-2012 - Pride and Prejudice - A load of Antony Horowitz stuff - The Red Queen - Some random murder mystery stories etc
Like most people I dont really have a designated book shelf, but I still have plenty of 'books' -Petrograd -Cujo -Misery -Pygmy -Mocking jay -Shadow Project -Maus 1-2 -Montmorency: on the rocks -Leviathan -ROAR -Soldier boys -Hunger games -Point blank -Skeleton key -Snakehead -The Lost Hero -The Lightning Thief
Oh geez, I'd have to take so many pictures for this thread! I actually have two bookshelves, and then some overflow for the books I'm still reading. Way too much to list out, so maybe I'll try and get some photos and add them at a later date.
If the thread is still active later in the week or over the weekend, I'll dig out my archive and take some pictures -- they tend to be buried in a wall cupboard in boxes under other, heavier boxes rather than stacked neat on bookshelves ;D
My bookshelf is a wonderful mixture of: some goth book im procrastinating on my lactaid pills a twilight book (yes, you read that right. all ya'll bes shuddup) my wallet cds ( theres Justin bieber, Spongebob, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift) a jewelry box hairspray and my nintendo box. ontop of my bookshelf is a build a bear unicorn. yep.
I will not humiliate myself by showing my bookshelf, but rather list the things on it. -Two pictures of dogs -the letter T -A cat jar -yarn -a Russian nesting doll -scrapbooking paper -a snowglobe -two glass bottles -two coat hangers -a basket -a bottle of gatorade -two bins of stuff I never use But oddly, being a bookworm, I don't have any books on my bookshelf.
