Simple Life at First (For Pinkly Smooth)

Bolt walked out, waving to Twilight. "She's usually not that nice." He said once the door closed

 

"Really? She's always been a dear to me, then again I only see her if I wanna learn something." Lace giggled

 

"Her and I are rivals." Bolt laughed

 

"Oh! Really?" Lace levitated a picked flower and plucked away the petals. "I should get my head out of my art, I feel like I know nothing." She laughed.

 

"You do whatever you want with your beautiful head. It seems fitting in art, I say." Bolt responded

 

Lace picked the last petal and gave Bolt a surprised kiss. "Then ill keep my head where it belongs and keep drawing portraits of my favorite stallion!"

 

"Aww...thanks." Bolt said, blushing

 

Lace giggled, "no problem."

 

"Let's go get that food!" Bolt said, flying with Lace on his back. "Where we goin?"

 

"Its called the Sugarcube Corner, can't miss it." She pointed to a pink cupcake shop in the center of town.

 

"Oh god..." Bolt trailed. "Pinkie...I better watch my back. We never finished that prank off."

 

"Again, learning something new here."

 

"Oops." Bolt said, landing at the shop on a strip of glue paper. "Stay on my back." He sighed.

 

"How did she know you were coming?" Lace looked over his back at the glue paper down below. "Pinkie sense.. should have known."

 

Bolt yelled in frustration. "Buck!!!"

 

Lace flinched at his frustration then she nuzzled behind his ear, "its just a harmless prank"

 

"I can't move." He whimpered in response

 

Lace pondered for a sec, "Umm.. hold on." She jumped from his back landing safely away from the paper. "Should I get Pinkie Pie?" She asked.

 

"Yep. Tell her she wins round two." He replied

 

"Ok." Lace disappeared into the shop and came back moments later with a laughing Pinkie. "Did you fall for it Bolty?" Pinkie asked using her many pet names for Bolt. Lace couldnt help but giggle herself.
