"I just had a dream that you didn't love me anymore and that I was just a cover up for something." She hid her face in his mane still shaking. "You were angry with me." She then added.
"That's not right. Dreams are the only place a mare as smart as you would believe a lie so obvious. You know that will never happen, right?" He asked, stroking her mane comfortingly.
"Yes I know but its the thought that scares me." She moved closer to Bolt trying to relax as he stroked her golden mane.
"No don't worry about me ill be fine." She gave him a kiss showing him she is ok. "I need to work on my art piece anyways and I can't till you leave."
"Alright. Bye. Just telepathically call me, you know I'll be here right away should there be a problem." Bolt said, flying out the door. He saw the pegasi that were picking on Lace steal from a store. "Oh joy...Don't worry, sir. I will retrieve your stolen goods!" He said, slamming into the group. "Oh god it's h-" The pegasus was interrupted by Bolt blasting him with fire, as were the other two. Bolt kicked the items out of the fire's path. "Looks like I'm getting off early!" He laughed, not noticing the bow being trained on him.
Lace stood and disappeared into her art studio. She levitated the paints to the paint pallet and began go finish her painting. An hour or so later she reappeared covered with the rainbow. Her mane was in a messy bun with a few multi.colored strands. She looked tired and drained from the lack of sleep before. She entered the kitchen and cleaned the counters before she left for the master bathroom to wash off the paints.
Dune was carted home, an arrow in his leg. He knocked on the door. "Lace? Hello?" He asked, scowling.
Lace had just come downstairs, "o my God, Bolt what happened?" She let him in and helped him to the couch. "Are you alright?" She looked at bolt with worried filled eyes.
"I got shot. I'm pretty damn mad." He said. He turned around and hoof-punched the guard who shot him in the face. "Get away from my girlfriend." He said. He leaned on lace and limped in the apartment.
"Ok just calm down." She helped him to the couch and trotted to the medicine cabinet grabbing some pain killers. "I-im not sure what I'm suppose to do but take these." She handed over the pain killers and a glass of water.
Bolt ripped the arrow out, poured the water on the wound, and levitated bandages over, patching up his leg. "I beat the hell out of those pegasi that bullied you. Got tagged for excessive force...didn't listen. Got shot. Pretty sure I'm in trouble with Celestia." He said, kissing Lace on the cheek.
"Why did you do that? Isn't breaking their wings off enough?" She sat beside him leaning against his shoulder.
Lace nodded, "I sure did, I was going to show you when you came home." She grinned like a little filly. "Do you think you can make it to the studio?" Her golden eyes shimmering with joy.
"Yay!" She raced up the stairs pulling Bolt with her. She opened the studio door to a 20x20 canvas covered in a white sheet. "I can't to see how you like it!" She trotted to a side and gripped the sheet, "you ready?"
