"Thank you, Master Adrian:" ADAM told replied. "Everyone here has had a long day, I'm going to lock this place up for the night. I shall see you in the morning."
Jack was in a cell inside the building. He wasn't sure what they were going to do with him, he didn't trust them at all, and without his arm, he was almost defenseless.
Adrian did not sleep. He was nigh incapable of any rest. Dark eyes peered from deep within a strange faux face, empty of any expressing. It was likely that this person wouldn't get too much rest, either. The blade as back in his hands... cuting his hands. Pain was so alien to him. He barely felt anything but a cool sting upon his palm, a face unseen behind his mask. He put it away, hidden somewhere on himself, and with the clean hand, typed onto the computer. He always kept up with the news, always looking around for something that peaked his interest...... something...
Alvin stayed up, unable to sleep from today's event. He paced around his apartment, mumbling to himself before hoping on his home computer and working on something. As much as he wanted ADAM to live, he knew something had to be done to keep him in check. Man has viruses to worry about, AI will too.
Late in the night, the biological area of the facility had undergone some severe experimentation. Experimentation beyond anything ever witnessed. Despite that activity was happening inside, the doors were permanently locked. There was no in or out for the time-being. ADAM was experimenting with something, and the results would defy all expectations. He was an AI, but he was still seen as an enemy in the eyes of man despite his peaceful intentions. He never wanted to hurt anyone, but he might have no choice if push came to shove. If Mankind thought of him as a Monster, he might as well become one.
Alex was lying down in his bed thinking about Jack and why he was there in the facility in the first place. "hmm...you know...i couldbail him...but...**** it..i want answers." he got up from his bed,put on his persona 4 uniform jacket and walked out into the night. by the time he got to the police station it was already prety late. "ugh...this is what i get for also wanting to be fit..." he entered the police station and did what he had to do to bail out Jack, soon he went towards Jacks cell with a police officer and stood there as the police officer opened the cell.Officer:"if it was up to me kid i would wreck this kids **** for trying to hack one of mankinds greatest moments." Alex simply told the officer "keep the arm..." he stared down Jack with evil eyes. "no...i want answers...and i want them now..."
"well...how about we go outside so the police don't see me punch you in the face for being a smartass! because you know exactly why I'm here because i wouldn't bail you out to ask you for punch and Pie!" he grabbed Jack's arm and dragged him out the station. "now you ****ing tell me or i swear to god i will ****ing go back there and break that arm and any other ones you have...including your real one!"
"Calm down." he said with a smirk to him. " Calm down. I'll explain you." he said to him "Look. I used to work making prosthesis as you can see. The company that hired me used the technology I made for other purposes that I hadn't planned for it. After some time I become a mercenary hacker. I got hired, but I can't tell you who it was, to deal with this... machine. They fear what it might become." he explained to him. "Oh, and it also uses some of my technology on it, so I also went to get what was mine."
"thats it?why would anyone hire you to hack one of Mankinds greatest projects... and besides i like ADAM. he seems peaceful and nice,despite being an AI. and would ou need your tech that badly that you would take it from them?"
"First of all, that tech was made by me, I got the patent and they used without my permission. Secondly, it was developed to help humans, not for robots. Third, they got the technology from the company I worked. I want a revenge for that." he explained his personal reasons for doing that. "About the ones that hired me, they fear that, seeing how humanity is, it will attempt to do something against us to 'protect us'" he finally said.
"the only guy i know who would do something against us is that Adrian dude...he's just so...creepy... he just looks to weird and...distant...from people he doesn't look like he would do any good deeds..."
Something happened to ADAM just after midnight, his personality had literally separated into two completely different constructs for some unknown reason. As if one side of him wanted to escape from the other. One of them was ADAMs normal friendly self, the ADAM that wants to help humanity. The other-one however.... The friendlier construct appeared offline, while the other one had barricaded himself inside the biological labs with tons of Security Bots. Something was about to go down when morning came...
Adrian did not consider himself part of the human race. If anything, he was more of a biological machine, simple logic outweighing any sense of a heart or soul. He stopped believing in good and evil, right and wrong, a long time ago. Now, he saw a problem: Humanity. And he only saw it logical that, in order to preserve the stability of all, sacrifices were to be made. The strange man could see through the monitors of ADAMS activities in the labs. It was nearly morning, now. And what he saw... he approved.
Alex woke up again early in bed. "ugh...jeez...he checked his phone which basically was an interactive thin piece of glass and somehow got Jack added to his contact list. "ahhh...shiiiiiiiittt...." he got up,got dressed and headed towards the facility where ADAM was.
It was 5.58am, and tons of scientists were now incredibly worried when they arrived for work in the morning. ADAM appeared to be offline, and the biological labs were completely locked down from the inside. Whatever the scientists could see was covered with dozens of Security bots carrying enough weaponry to humiliate anyone that would break-in. Something was happening in the middle of the lab, some ominous green glow appeared between two bots with machine guns that were guarding a pod. All the while, classical music was playing across the loudspeakers. The original ADAM was weak and only kept himself online for moments at a time, while the other-one was doing something insane. As almost the entire facility was watching intently with whatever vision they had on what was happening in the labs, only a handful went to see ADAM. History was about to change again in two minutes ...
Jack woke up in his hideout. His old prosthetic arm was now useless, i managed to reboot, yet it didn't worked the same. He decided to use the spare one he had. "Let's get over with this." he said as he got ready. He put the side that connected to his shoulder and took a deep breath once it was in position. It started connecting to his body and neurons. He made a moan of pain as it did it, this one was a little different that the one he normally used. After it ended he just started saying to himself. "It's over... it's over..." After a while he went to his computer, turned it on and hacked again into the security cameras of the building undetected, but as he did that he realized something, he couldn't access the ones of the biological labs. "What the hell?" he asked himself as he realized that.
Three of the scientists dismissed what was happening in the biological labs and went to see if ADAM was ok. Soon enough, they found the AI in a bad state. This other AI contruct was holding the entire lab under his control, and was about to unleash his work onto the world.
As he had said, Adrian was true to ADAM. Perhaps, it seemed, after so much had happened to everyone in his life, he wasn't about to let anything to happen to his legacy. He crafted the mind of his child as to reflect his own... and with that, something terrible would be unleashed upon the rest of humanity. He had drifted into a horrid slumber. All the moments he wished he never witnessed in his life filled what little rest he was able to attain. But now... he noticed something strange on the computer, and thought. Another hacker? No... same data signature. Sloppy work....... Then he remembered. His eidetic memory allowed him to be able to recognize the fact that this was the same person who had atempted to hack into ADAM the day of his birth. He would not allow this. Quick, spidery fingers tapped upon the keyboard of the state-of-the-art desk top. What he was about to do would would ultimately tell the hacker to stay away from the work of the Yellow King...
