Something that 'embodies you' - What are you good at? Football? Have a football... etc I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to work on next... I have a few ideas, but do you guys have any preferences?
Well a better theme could be in order, Atm this one works but it's obvious it was adapted, Also perhaps the icons on the front page could be changed to something more appropriate then a bunch of close shots of spike
@Pac-Pony - I was hoping you'd have something in mind ^^ The site in general, what could do with changing/adding/editing. Additions, Style changes etc.. @Wolf - Yup, but you know how long, tiresome and complicated it is to make a scratch theme. There's a reason the hive (or any forum) doesn't make a habit of it and "pros" can charge $100+ =/ If that's what you want I'd still prefer to base it off another theme and just heavily edit it, the layouts are usually pretty identical anyways.. Just give me a rough idea of what you guys want colour/display wise (e.g. fluid or fixed) and I'll see what I can do.
I was just throwing ideas out there I know it takes a bit of work to make a theme. Not sure what else really to suggest, Though we should come to some sort of consensus on the "rep" idea
Yeah I know ^^ and I think it's a good idea, so if you throw the ideas at me I'll do my best to start whipping up something but you probably won't see anything of it for a good while. Rep is definitely something we need to decide on, good call. We've had a fair few suggestions so far, any eye-catchers? I like the idea of those gems as the symbols - how rep should work - I'm not yet decided upon.
Well one thing, is there anything you can do about how the site sometime refuses to load? Refreshing the page makes it work fine, but every once in a while the page refuses to load correctly when you first click the link Also, though it says "Reason for editing" is optional, it won't let you edit a post without giving a reason so umm yeah, it's not so optional

That's a pretty nice reason for editing. lol Agreed, I ran into this problem as well. (Both) And I've been putting "a" as my reason lol. Then again, I might start just typing random reasons in like "Shenanigans" or "Because I felt like it." Though, it would be nice to have it fixed. <(^w^<)

You're going to fix it, but I'm going to keep up the reasons. :derpe: SO!!! Based on the things said around. 1. Need to decide on the rep. 2. Gems will be used for rep or experience. (I say experience, because more than likely, only the funny ponies will be able to afford the stuff in the long run if we go with the rep) 3. Make home page look more professional-ish. (You know, 20% more kewler) 4. ??? 5. Profit.
Righty fixed up spoilers, they work more like the ones on the hiveworkshop now (if your from there) - you can put them inside each other etc, they don't have borders though, idk I thought they were kind of blocky and ugly to be honest. Rep? Yup. Home page? Any ideas? Profit? I SURE AS well hope so!

Yeah hive is 'fluid' fullscreen, so you'll be used to it (I'm with you to). But I do understand that some people prefer fixed but I'm cool with that, I think having two skins one fixed one fluid would be a nice start. Neither will be scratch made but I'll try and make them match your guys specs to the best of my ability - I really see little point in custom scratch coding - seeing as forum layout changes so little between such styles anyway. So just post any random ideas for either theme/colours and the like. Do you like the current colours/themes? Yes/No? What could be improved? I know there are some nasty colour combos particularly on user profiles - but if you want a colour revamp anyway I won't waste my time messing with that. EDIT: Ready to change the forum icons, just need... well icons... I'll probably just use screenshots from the show (appropriately) but we should have a border/style to them so they look a little less random, I'd appreciate feedback in that regard to ^^ Oh and there's that ever looming problem of 'rep' that needs addressing..
I usually don't go on many different forums; actually, I started going on them about... I'd say October last year. Wait... No, not even. More like late November early December. I'm just really used to LBPC's layout I guess. I did checkout the Hive though. (I think... Is it black and have a metal look?) So if that is the hive, then that way looked nice too. But I think what made that look nice was the color scheme. Also, they had a metal skin for the inside of the borders; where the posts were. It was more noticeable than this one's. Almost forgot. The rep. So did we decide on whether the gems would be for rep or experience? Or even if there IS going to be experience. As for choosing which color goes with which amount. I say we let Zelda decide that. :3 More brony friendly... Well, AWESOME!!! Basically. You know. Cooler looking.
