Mir looked at the giant and grabbed his bow, then started attacking it, thowing steel arrows and a few nordic arrows.
Q'discraan stayed in the grass, trying to avoid being trampled, until the Giant presented it's back to him. Bursting from cover and drawing his daggers, he charged, jumped, and planted both blades into the creature's back. He continued to cling there, stabbing and slashing when the opportunity presented itself, and trying to avoid being thrown off.
Jovur began to glow green, and he slammed his hands to the ground, casting a powerful Call to Arms illusion spell, increasing the parties' combat abilities. He then walked up to giant, and he began torching it with a flames spell.
Niza charged forth, sword and shield at the the ready. As she was close enough to the giant, she slammed the tip of shield down onto the giant's foot before slashing at its leg.
As he clung to the Giant's newly lacerated back for dear life, trying to avoid stay arrows or flames, Q'discraan suddenly felt a rush of energy and increased focus flow through his body, accompanied by a greenish glow. Pulling one of his daggers free, he grabbed a handful of matted hair, and pulling himself up over it's shoulder, jammed the dagger into the beast's ear with all his strength. With that, the Giant unleashed an unholy wail, and cast him several feet into the under-brush, where he lay, unconscious.
Fox focused on protecting the Bosmer woman, forcibly dragging her out of the path of the charging giant. Just before the creature fell to the onslaught from her companions, Fox threw her enchanted steel dagger, which struck the giant's thigh and activated the Soul Trap enchantment. As the fallen creature's soul found a new home in a greater soul gem, Fox left the elf woman to mourn, and ran to check on Q'discraan. "He's alive, but unconscious. He needs a healer." She looked at her companions, hoping that one of them knew a healing spell. Potions were expensive, and best saved for emergencies.
Mir walked.there with outh saying anything and used some healing spells on Q'discraan. "Thats all I cand do for him..." he then said ince he finished with him.
Q'discraan stretched and purred as he came to; "This one feels like he's just woken from a nap." He said, groggily, sitting up and looking around. "Did we win?"
Niza pulled her shield out from the giant's foot before cutting off it's toe, knowing some alchemist would want it. "Yeah, we won." she said as she walked over and offered a hand. "Can't say the same about you though.|
Q'discraan took the offered hand, pulled himself up, and grinned; "Q'discraan is alive, his foe is dead. He has won." He walked over to the corpse and retrieved his daggers. "It is this one's experience that these creatures tend to have stashes of loot at their camps; where do you suppose that may be?" He queried.
Fox retrieved her dagger from the fallen giant, and wiped it clean on the creature's loincloth. She then walked over and had a brief conversation with the Bosmer woman, who handed Fox a small rolled document, and then silently knelt over her fallen sister. Fox returned to the group and spoke in a low voice. "She... gave us the bounty note for the giant. Said she didn't want anything to do with any of this. I think it's best we be on our way."
"So, no loot stash?" Q'discraan asked, not quite sure he'd heard correctly; who passed up on free loot?!
Mir sighed as he waited for the group i be ready to carry on. He sat on a rock to wait for them, looking at the sky for a moment.
Niza hooked her arm under Q'discraan's and began marching towards Riverwood. "Nope, nothing to find really but mutilated goats and maybe some pelts. Nothing to stall for compared to what the Jarl will give us."
"Goats taste good," Q'discraan muttered, as Niza helped him up the path. He was actually fine, but didn't see the sense in declining a free walking aid, and a warm one at that, so he faked a limp.
After another hour of walking, the village of Riverwood came into view. Fox stopped at the bridge, and turned to her companions. "Bleak Falls Barrow isn't far. We can head straight there, or we can stop in town for a bit. What do you want do?"
"Should we not talk to the townsfolk?" Q'discraan inquired, "They may have information on the prey we hunt,"
Mir didn't said anything amd shrugged. He looked around and devided to get a few stuff from the blacksmith.
Niza looked around the quaint little town. "You can do what you want," she said as she took a seat near the riverside. "I'll be here, taking in the scenery til you guys are ready."
