Julion peered around a corner in Stable 2 to see two Steel Rangers talking to each other. Coming around the corner, he sent two bolts slamming into the bodies of the Steel Rangers, overloading their armor and he watched as they collapsed, unable to move due to the weight of their armor. Trotting up to them, he pulled off their helmets and slit their throats with Head Hunter. Grunting slightly, he looked around, he had gotten split off from his companions and had no idea where they were, but Applesnack had tried to get some Steel Rangers to join them. However, Julion didnt care, he was going to slaughter them all unless they surrendered before he fired off his shots, they attacked his home and slaughtered innocents, and he was going to make them pay.
Damien was alone. He stood on a empty plain as he watched a small Vertibuck head towards the small isolated farm house that he and the rest of the group were staying at, which he estimated that there was about forty pegasi storm troopers heading towards them. The Enclave was Damien's biggest threat when he was sent to Death Valley in 2258 to take down an entire fortress, at the age of fifteen. His father almost single handedly took down their entire Oil Rig, then Navarro. It seemed that this would be no different from the Enclave he knew. The other Mockingbirds were inside the farm house with Snow, trying to keep her safe if the house was suddenly breached. While all of them were respectfully the best Rangers the NCR had to offer, their skill and ability seemed to be widely lower than what Damien had become due to his taint mutation. Damien watched as the Vertibuck sped towards him as the Charcoal colored unicorn began to feel the crackle of rainbow colored electricity surround his body. He looked at the ship as the hairs of his orange mane began to stand up and with an emotionless stare at the ship, felt something powerful build inside of him. Pegasi were on the verge of jumping out and taking off after the man. A split second later, Damien raised his right hoof towards the Vertibuck as an enormous bolt of taint colored lightning shot out of his hoof. The lightning struck the front of the ship with almost divine force that caused it to explode almost instantly into a fiery wreck, killing almost every pegasi on board. The wreckage hit the ground hard and continued to travel for another 300 meters, stopping shy of where Damien stood. "Holy **** ...." Roger replied in disbelief as he looked out the window. "He's not even human or Equestrian anymore."
Snow nodded in agreement, "And I'm worried what the effects of his using that...power is having on his body and essence..." she responded
"I agree, we need to do something about that. It could potentially dama-" Roger said before looking out the window again, noticing two heavily injured Enclave soldiers climb out from the wreckage. One of them appeared to be an officer that was in no able condition to fight. The other one was a solider, that despite having his wings and armor, had one of his wings torn off from the wreckage itself. "Oh no...." Roger said all of a sudden before he bolted out of the door, where he was soon followed by Jack. Damien trotted slowly towards the survivors, who were utterly terrified of what happened. The officer looked surprisingly alot like Snow as she tried to scream as nothing came out. The solider tried to fly, only realizing that he was missing his wing and screamed in agony. Damien continued to advance towards the two, just as the solider decided that enough was enough and in one attempt at bravery, turned his rifle around and aimed it at Damien. Half a second later, Damien was up close as he turned the rifle away and took the male solder by the head and slammed it against the flaming wreckage of the Vertibuck. The female officer watched in absolute horror as she watched the head of the Enclave solider get slammed into the wreckage, before stopping for a second to cause the solider confusion before repeatedly slamming the head of the Enclave solider against the wreckage until the right side of his head resembled a squashed watermellon. The Enclave mare screamed as she watched the solider get brutally murdered by Damien, who appeared to have a psychotic look in his eyes. "No....please..." she tried to say as Damien approached her, trying to crawl away from him with tears streaming down his face. "Don't....." "Damien, STOP!" Roger replied as he ran out of the door towards the scene. "What are you doing? Stop this! This isn't you!" The mare looked over at Roger and noticed a mare that looked like her, with a blonde mane and a white coat. The only difference being the races and eye color. She looked over as Roger tried to comfort Damien, only to see Damien suddenly turn around and buck him hard enough to send him flying towards the Farm House, crashing into a barn. By now, the Mockingbirds now ran out onto the field.
Snow widened her eyes at what Damien was doing, quickly casting a containment bubble around him, she knew any other shield would likely break under his power, but her containment bubbles were different in that they violently rejected the passage of any essence beyond those the user wanted to pass, sending it either ricocheting or absorbing the magic out right. And if Damien tried to get out...well, it could turn into a quite comical spectical of him bouncing around the bubble
Damien noticed the containment shield quickly envelop over him, noticing that this was stronger than any form of magic that he has currently experienced. Damien, almost acting like a wild animal, delivered blows as hard as he could against the shield to no success. Smash his hooves and headbutting it several times until blood began to pour out of his forehead. His body also began to show the signs of taint lightning sparking around his body as without control, it began striking the shield without him noticing. Damien then decided for one final blow, which turned out to be an extremely powerful lighting punch that ultimately did more harm than good. Once Damien made contact with the shield, he was launched like a pinball inside of the bubble while the lightning created a bright light that for a nanosecond was brighter than the sun. Once the light cleared, Damien was on his knees inside of the bubble. The strange thing that was noticed was that his eyes were red instead of blue, likely a sign of what has reduced him to this mental state.
"Something's wrong with his essence..." Snow said to the rest of the Mockingbirds, her eyes purple, "It's almost like...he has two essences inside him, fighting for control. This isn't good whatever it is as the second...well, it seems to be almost entirely made up of Taint and zebra necromancy. It's almost like he touched some kind of..Possessed Balefire bomb."
The Mockingbirds soon joined up with Snow to find Damien on his knees, with one eye turning blue while the other remaining red while rainbow colored electricity shot around the bubble and his back. He roared in pain and of anger as the electricity intensified around him. While the group was stuck with Damien, Ashley broke off from the group and went over to the injured Pegasi mare, who was stuck watching the entire ordeal when she accidentally fell into a ditch. Seeing the innocence in the eyes of the young Pegasi mare, she began to help heal her wounds. By now, lightning was shooting everywhere around the bubble as it seemed to glow brighter and brighter. Damien was talking to himself in Latin, which made the entire squad confused about what was going on. Jack soon picked up on what was happening. "He's trying to regain control"
Snow nodded, before suddenly feeling slightly lightheaded, "O-our essence's are still linked...h-his essence...m-must have realized it...I can feel it drawing on my essence's power...Don't worry...essence has next to unlimited power...will just need to concentrate on not passing out..."
The rest of the group looked at each other before looking at Damien, where more electricity shot out of him. Eventually, all of them nodded before looking at Snow. "How are we going to do this? Do you need to connect to his mind again?" Benedict said while watching the bubble glow brighter again. ------------------------------------------- Damien woke up in a mysterious place. The charcoal coloured unicorn felt naked, but found himself wearing a formal white suit. Upon finding himself confused and dazed, he found that there was no floor in the area around him, and what appeared around him was an ever constant map of distant nebula. It was almost like he was in space, but he could breathe. Previously, he felt Snow talking to his essence in a desert. This was different however. It appeared that he had woken up inside of his own sub conscious. He got up slowly in a strange struggle as if gravity wasn’t in his side as he looked around at the room. “We are free” a mysterious yet extremely similar voice said, sounding close. Damien turned quickly only to find another figure in his sub conscious, except that it didn’t feel natural. Nearby was another figure that appeared to have bright piercing red eyes, but the rest of the physical details was an uncanny resemblance of Damien. Instead of the white suit that Damien wore, the figure wore a suit as black as night. Damien literally looked at himself, the second conscious was staring him in the face. A question to ask who it was wasn’t needed. It was the second conscious, it was a corrupted Damien. “Free from morality, Free to carve your our path in the world we both now find ourselves in. Free from weakness. Our minds are free from their prisons. We are free.” The figure replied before looking at Damien as a cane appeared next to him. “But how are we free?” Damien said in a cold tone. “Now that is an excellent question” the mysterious figure replied before looking at Damien, just as the figure in the black suit walked towards him, just as a display of Equestria appeared right above him. “As we speak, both of our consciousnesses are fighting for control of your body. Both of us hold almost half of our essence and body, except that we are missing the final piece of the puzzle, the last remaining piece. We share the same body, but we hold almost half our essence and brain. Unfortunately, we are at a stalemate. One of us needs to control this body. We're too well-balanced. Whoever wins control will control the entire body and all of its potential. If one of us loses, then we simply die and we’ll never be seen again. ” “And let’s say that you win. What happens if you take total control of my body?” “Then I will do what I must. This body is not only a perfect vessel but due to our newfound abilities, especially the power you have inside of us, this body is far beyond human. I could potentially turn this body from beyond human to that of a physical god if fate allowed me to do so in time. I would build an empire and I will be its god-emperor and from there...well, that’s only the beginning. But before I could do any of that, I need to tie up loose ends and lay the foundations.” “You’re going to kill Snow and my friends?” “No. I’m going to throw anybody that opposes me into the wind. Commandos, Federation, Enclave, Red Eye. Anyone. I know the secrets to this body and once I unlock them, then i will be the harbinger of their doom. Because of Snow’s influence and your own personal friendship with her, she’ll die first.” The figure soon transformed exactly into Damien’s human form, except that he had ghostly white hair and red eyes. “As I said, Damien. Once I take control of your body, we will be free.” The two figures looked at each other for a moment as the background around them changed to resemble the milky way galaxy. The stage was set. ------------------------------------ Back in reality, the bubble that contained Damien lit up like a bright light once again with lightning. Even at a distance, anypony near it could feel a small earthquake due to the violent amount of power inside. It even managed to cause a crack inside of the bubble.
Snow weakly watched as Damien twisted and turned, releasing large amounts of energy, but she kept the bubble up, keeping it just strong enough to keep it all contained
Damien continued to twist and turn around the bubble as the amount of energy temporarily died down, enough to see his body. Unfortunately, the two essences were still fighting for control of the body. It wouldn't be the prettiest of endings, but it was still a fighting battle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Damien and the now human figure, who identified himself an Neo-Damien or 'Neo' for short, rushed towards another in unarmed battle. While the real Damien had a brief advantage due to the slight additional strength of his equine form and his ability as a unicorn, Neo was perfectly skilled in magic and because he was in his human form, kept the enhanced abilities of Damien's human form. The two of them fought in a brutal and desperate fight using Mokara and powerful forms of Magic. The two of them were absolute equals in combat, with neither gaining an advantage.
"Give me control." Snow suddenly heard a voice say in her head, I can save him, and I promise nothing bad will happen." "Essence..." Snow began to mutter You are getting weak, let me control and I'll finish it and save Damien. I'm not a fighter, but I have far more control and knowledge of my true potential, thanks to you. I will take care of everything." Snow nodded weakly, "O-okay..." then suddenly her eyes turned pure white and seemed to glow with brilliant light. The bubble suddenly shrunk down to press Damien's body to the ground, and Snow seemingly was struck by the full force of the bottled up magic, but stood unscathed, the Essence having captured and filtered it. The essence-controlled Snow sat on Damien, and lowered a horn glowing brilliant white to tap Damien's horn, and suddenly as if a by a crack of lighting, the essence who has been developed and strengthened for over 250 years, who knew just about every trick in the book, suddenly appeared in the subconscious mind of Damien, where the two essences fighting for control of the body were concentrated, and it's voice boomed out, ENOUGH.
Neo took Damien by the neck after stunning him and held him there, apply large amounts of pressure while the rainbow lightning channeled through his hands and electrocuted the unicorn, causing Damien to scream in agony before he threw him hundreds of meters. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
The essence narrowed its eyes before suddenly sending out a pulse of magic, freezing the entire mind, saving Damien from slamming into the subconscious ground and forcing Neo to remain still. The essence suddenly turned into almost a fog and flowed over to in front of Neo before the fog surrounded him. Neo would have started feeling weaker and weaker, "You do not belong here, you are a plague." the voice echoed as the fog seemingly consumed Neo's strength, and seemingly melting him, "You shall perish for your crimes!"
Neo began to feel weaker and weaker before looking at his arms, watching as his skin and muscle began to melt quickly. He looked over at the fog and suddenly sprouted giant black wings to escape the fog, but it seemed to be of no use as he suddenly found himself pressed against an invisible force on the ground as he was surrounded by fog. When he looked up, the human face melted and resembled something far more demonic.
You are not welcome! Begone! The essence boomed, keeping the demonic essence pinned down, sraining its energy.
The demonic essence continued to melt, his head now resembling a wet mess of human skin and flesh while revealing the skull, which almost appeared to have small horns coming out of it's head. Damien's essence, barely conscious, watched as Neo began to wither and die. By now, Neo was helpless to escape. All strength that Neo had was now gone, and any arms or legs he did have was now melting bone. Neo, defiant to the end, could do nothing but laugh manically. Damien pulled himself up and looking at Neo one last time, shot a beam of lightning that completely passed through the Fog and hit Neo directly between the eyes, ending the life of the monstrosity. Neo's body melted at a much more advanced rate and a moment later, ceased to exist.
The fog then floated away from the "carcass" as it vamished before reforming into a shape similar to Snow, "You're welcome." The essence said before disappearing. ***** Snow gasped as she suddenly came back into control of her body and she fell back, releasing Damien's body as she passed out
Whatever was holding back Damien vanished as his eye colour returned to blue. The second essence was gone and the lightning that shot from his body began stopped. About three seconds after the lightning stopped, Damien suddenly regained consciousness and tried to shout, but nothing really came out. He tried to get to his hooves only to find that he was complete exhausted, but felt completely normal. Snow happened to pass out on top of him as well, so Damien wouldn’t be moving for a while. It was quite cute actually. “Damien, glad to see that you’re alright. How do you feel?” Benedict replied before bending down to meet Damien at eye contact. “What happened?” Damien thought for a moment before replying. “It’s complicated. Let’s just say that I was possessed by an evil split personality and leave it at that.” He said before noticing the female pegasi over next to Ashley. “Is she...” “She’s alright, but you killed her partner and all the soldiers on the Vertibuck. She’s said that she was conscripted into the military without actually wanting to join it. She’s innocent. But after what she's seen you do, she might not want to talk to you for a while." "Alright..." Damien replied. "Take her inside then"
