Snow remained completely limp on Damien, but her breathe soon leaveled out and transitioned into what was obviously her sleeping. ***** "Now there's a face I never thought I would see again." The Overmare said to Julion as he took off his helmet. "Yea yea, your old therapist." Julion muttered "Well, I'm quite surprised you found a way out wthout me knowing." The Overmare responded. "I'm inventive." He simply responded, looking over the survivors of the attack on Stable 2, "Well. There we go, you are all are still alive, congrats."
The charcoal unicorn managed to levitate himself all the way across the field, back into the house and sit himself onto the chair. Damien couldn’t do the same to Snow, so he simply asked Benedict to carry her into the master bedroom, or a relatively decent version of a post-apocalyptic bedroom where she would sleep peacefully. Damien sat with the rest of the group, his mind still cleared from what happened before. Although he has returned to being himself again, he was suffering one hell of a migraine, so he just watched quietly in the corner. The Enclave Pegasus sat down, watching all of the Mockingbirds that all seemed to intimidate her. “So...tell us about yourself.” Jack replied in a demanding yet friendly tone. “You clearly were not like the others, which is why you have been allowed to live. After all, you’re not really Enclave either.” The Pegasus nodded. “That is true. The moment that a Pegasi comes of age, they are conscripted into the military without question unless they proved to be intelligent enough to become a scientist. Those who disagree had to take it up with the council, marked as outcasts, or just outright killed if they posed a threat. I never wanted to join the military; I was forced to join because my parents were high ranking officials. That and that it’s the way of life up there. You don’t get a say.” “You happened to say before that you were promoted to Captain almost instantly because of your parents despite lacking training.” Jack replied again. “Oh no. Enclave Pegasi are trained in combat from the age of ten years onwards, but I passed most of my classes with a fairly high grade. So I know how to fight, if that is what you are asking” “Then why leave the Enclave?” Damien said in baritone voice, causing the room to go silent for a few seconds. “It’s a dictatorship up there with little to no freedom. Despite that I want to return to the surface and do some good in my life, I still felt some sense of pride fighting alongside Pegasi that I grew up with, and that the Enclave always felt proud that they always calling themselves ‘pure’. Honestly, I never believed any of that stuff. Sounds like religious mumbo-jumbo anyway. ” Benedict, who was at least as tall as an Alicorn with twice the strength just had the largest grin on his face. “I like her already.” The group looked at each other for a second before looking at the mare. “What’s your name.” “Moon Swirl. Ex-Enclave Captain, at your service.”
(Uh, the Enclave was actually extremwly democratic in FoE? Remember? It was so democratic and bereucratic that it took weeks just for them to send the Wonderbolts after Littlepip and her group? And it is a large, volunteer force for the most parr, the only bad things about it really were keeping Equestria under cloud cover, the extremely heavy propaganda to the civilian populace, and the desire to wipe out all,pony life below because "it was too uncivilized". A better response is that being deployed below the clouds showed her that the Enclave lied.) Snow stirred a bit about an hour later before releasing a loud groan as she woke up, her head hurting like hell. "Oooowwwww...." she muttered and cursed under her breath

(Alright. I'll make a post while you get some sleep that I'll edit in later. Sweet Dreams !) Within the next few days, the Enclave military came below the cloud cover in great force. While Red Eye took plenty of the force, their attacks went far and wide across the Equestrian Wasteland. From the Steel Rangers to the Commandos having occasional skirmishes and attacks every now and then to an enormous Federation offensive, the Enclave were making quite the name for themselves. The Mockingbirds helped heal Moon back to normal health but didn't allow her to travel with them because of fears of being slowed down. Instead, they had something else in mind. Moon was going to return to above the clouds and because of her position in the Enclave, would act as a spy to her VIPS, which happened to be the Mockingbirds and the Federation but was also available to other 'Civilized' society's, such as the Commandos. She never once dropped name of the Mockingbirds and Snow during her talks however, and she happened to be an extremely useful asset to the forces on the ground. Moon was robbing the Enclave right under their noses. One night, she took absolutely anything of importance from the Enclave and fled below the clouds under the pale moonlight, where she went into hiding for the rest of the 'war'. When she decided to fake her death to remove Enclave death-squads from coming after her, she used a different alias and continued what she did before.
Snow and the Mockingbirds sat in a small, remote hut. They had just escaped a small Enclave shock raid, just barely surviving the surprise attack, but after some healing via stimpacks, the only noticeable damage left was some singed hair and blackened spots on the armor. Snow sighed, she was still feeling weak from the experience a few days ago, and couldn't quite sit straight.
The Enclave Shock Raid, while managing to take the Mockingbirds completely by surprise, ultimately failed. The Enclave lost about 20 troops with this raid as the Mockingbirds tried to ensure Snow survived the ordeal, absorbing most of the damage that was directed at her. Benedict was severely injured when he managed to take a few rounds from the Enclaves energy rifles that were directed at Snow, but managed to get restored back to health. The rest of the Rangers tried to gain distance between them and the Enclave as much as possible, while tending to their wounds. While it was still a fair attack, the Mockingbirds were still managing to recover from the last few days. Damien still suffered migraines, but still had enough concentration and willpower to focus on protecting Snow. The former squad of Rangers, possibly the best special-forces squadron on the planet, were now bodyguards and companions to a 250 year old mare. They didn't complain about it though.
Snow looked around the room, "Is everypony alright?" She asked the group, focusing her attention mostly on Damien as he has been through the most
"We're good" Benedict replied as the others eventually went through agreements with Snow. Damien took a while responding however, holding his head as all eyes turned to him. "Yeah...I'm alright. Just suffering a migrane" Damien responded before he winced in pain slightly. "It's extremely painful, but I can still concentrate most of the time. Normal painkillers dont seem to help."
"Very simple, your essence is repairing itself, it'll take a bit and until then well...you'll have some form kf headache." Snow told Damien, getting up and trotting over to him before gently placing a hoof on his shoulder before tapping her horn on his head to grant some of her's essence's power to help the healing process.
Damien noticed what Snow done and for a few seconds, the pain vanished until returning once again. It still hurt, but not as much. He looked over to Snow and gave her a weak smile. "Thank you, Snow. For everything...." he said before laughing for a brief moment, the first time he's smiled, yet alone, felt happy in days. "Sorry if I tend to be a handful"
Snow giggled, "Nah, don't worry about you, you guys are my friends and I got to take care of you just as you take care of me!" She replied happily, trotting back over to her seat brfore sitting back down.
Just before Jack was going to talk, the hairs on the back of his neck suddenly stood up. He felt like he was being watched. Before getting out of his chair, he noticed something in black out of the corner of his eye. Before looking at Snow, who seemed to be in casual conversation with the others, Jack's eyes shot up in horror as he realized what was about to happen. Galloping at full speed towards Snow, he quickly tackled her to the group just as a large blue bolt of energy shot through the window towards her chair, essentially vaporizing her chair and some of the wall behind her, followed by a loud deafening noise and a shock wave that sent Jack sailing a few meters. He recovered from being sent across the air by rolling when he made contact on the ground and took his rifle Once the other Mockingbirds realized what was going on, Jack was already in action. Taking his PEAR, he went to the window to pinpoint what exactly was going on. "We have Enclave, Six o' clock!" Jack said before firing his rifle, taking the heads of Enclave soldiers almost clean off with his PEAR. A second later, he also noticed another occurrence and cursed before looking at the others, then noticing the second party engaging the Enclave below them. "We have Commandos as well...."
Snow groaned, both by the weight of Damien on her and from the news, "Really?" She asked, growling. "Keep the armor on and make sure you dont get hit in the exposed areas, you'll be protected otherwise."
The Mockingbirds got straight to work while the Commandos seemed to clean up against the Enclave. While it was still a battle, the Rangers did anything they could to keep their section of the battlefield clean from any outside influences. Some Enclave did cross the line and engaged the Mockingbirds but were ultimately dealt with. The Commandos did pay attention to the Mockingbirds however, especially about what they happened to be wearing.
This section of Delta squad, after forcing the Enclave into retreat, turmed their attention towards the house as they had noticed at least one of the ponies inside wesring what looked similar to Commando armor, but wasn't, one stepped forward, the section's leader Fire Fury, "To those of you in the house, please give up all Mark Co gear you are wearing and using and place them outside the house. If you do not comply, we will be forced to make you." Snow looked around at the Mockingbirds, "Guys...If you cant be seen...put your right hoof on your left and pull it up to your shoulder, it will condense the armor into a Pipbuck like state...I would prefer it if we didnt have to fight ..
The others looked at each other before following up on Snow's instructions, placing the their right hoofs on their left shoulder as the armor they've worn soon collapsed onto itself and left the group of ponies almost naked. They've fortunately took their older Riot Gear along with them and took their black dusters off from their Mark.Co armor before getting themselves back dressed. The Commandos were outside and were not in a good mood, so the only smart choice for them now was to not fight. While it was a fight that they could win, they would rather side-step it all together.
