"Uh, that has no map." Snow said, "It's a dud. A...Disguise if you will." She told them before putting forward her hoof that didn't have the container of the armor, showing what looked similar to a watch on it, only instead of a clockface, it was a digital looking green grid. Tapping it three times, a green hologram suddenly was projected from it with several "folders' labeled different things, Snow tapped the "Map" folder, and the best map avaliable before the Last Day came into green light, "Here we go."
Damien quietly laughed to himself; it seemed the disguise seemed to fool the ponies that wore them. As the holographic map came to life, the group stared at it for a moment before Damien pointed at the map three times with his hoof, before moving his hoof across the map in all directions towards Fillydelphia like arrows. Nothing needed to be said, this was likely the way that the Enclave was going to attack the slave city. “Zoom in...” The map seemed to respond to Damien’s command as its zoom rushed towards the city before slowing down and stopping entirely, the accuracy of the map even showing post-war details of the city. Damien again went ahead and thought for a second before pointing at the map again, except that this was now about five times. “Defensive fortifications, seems that the slavers already dug in.” Damien said before looking at the Snow. “Alright, Fillydelphia is a no-go zone. I had a feeling in my gut about the place, but it seems that I’m mistaken. Maybe we sho-....what’s that?” he said before something appeared below the corner of his eye, which happened to be one of the SPP towers. He already knew some knowledge about the towers, but looked up towards the sky and the heavens slowly. Realization soon hit him like a freight train. “Oh my god....”
(It's a pre-~war map, it wouldnt have Red Eye's defenses on it, I guess you overread that) Snow looked up, "What in the name of Celestia..." ******* Julion looked out as suddenly what appeared to be circles of rainbows shot through the sky, removing huge portions of the cloud cover, but not quite all of it.(remember Calamity told Littlepip to leave some clouds so that the Enclave civilian population could continue to sustain itself, "What th-...This was Pip's doing..." he said, his voice sounding a little proud as sunlught poured down onto the land below, "Just...wow..."
(Guess i did...whoops) The group watched as a shockwave of rainbow light blasted across the sky, revealing sunlight that hasn't touched the surface of Equestria in over 200 years. It was a strange t feeling, watching sunlight finally touch Equestria but realizing that the wastelander's never seen anything like it. "Well, I'll be dammed." Benedict said before laughing loudly, his booming voice as large as the smile on his face was. He picked up Ashley and Jack and hugged them tightly. Damien couldn't help but giggle at the sight of seeing how happy Benedict happened to be. He had a smile on his face as he watched the sun return to the surface, wondering what this meant for the future of Equestria.
Snow, on the other hoof, knew that just opening the skies wouldn't solve problems, it was merely a first step. There were still the slavers, raiders, and the radiation to deal with, and if Fillydelphia fell, the only difference it would make to the Enclave is that they couldn't use their massive warships. That's when Snow noticed small dots, pegasi, the civilians, descending down towards the land, almost none had been below the cloud cover, and suddenly, unbegnost to Snow, two centuries of Enclave propaganda that the surface world was an inhospitable place occupied only by raiders and nere-do-wells were suddenly blown apart as the civilian populace came to encounter the peaceful settlements their military establishment had tried to destroy. This was a lie that would cost the military Enclave dearly in the next election in the next year...
Damien cracked his neck as he looked at Snow. "We have slavers, raiders and all forms of just nasty things that are still left in this world. I think it's time we go back and do this world a favor." he said before he started to walk away before realizing something, looking at the SPP tower far in the distance and making a guess who could have been inside. "Sacrifice..." Damien said quietly as he turned around to face Snow. "Her cycle is complete...."
(Well, Littlepip wasnt actually in one of the towers there was like this one hq place where she was teleported to) Snow nodded, "Yes, and ours is just beginning." ***** "STAND YOUR GROUND!" Julion yelled as they were assaulted by a large Enclave force. They had Spike, Calamity, and Velvet Remedy back with them, but now they were facing a huge army of Enclave fanatics as all that were anything less had deserted after the cloud cover broke and Tenpony unleased the Celestia Prime on them, vaporizing large portions of both theirs and Red Eye's army. However, the mysterious killing of Captain Stern had stopped the Red Eye slavers from being able to turn the Enclave withdrawal into a rout, along with Steel Rangers and Applejack Rangers alike then forcing the remaining slavers to withdraw within the Wall of Fillydelphia, were they devolved into infighting as several warlords quickly rose to try to take Captain Stern's post. Within days, they would have scattered across the Wastes, which would leave large, dangerous, experienced slavers armies across the Wasteland. However, the Enclave that survived Fillydelphia and Neighvarro and didn't give up had decided to attack the biggest thorn in their side they thought they could take on, Spike and his cave filled with Pre-War knowledge, and secretly, the Gardens of Equestria. Bloody 2 looked over as she saw Paladin Strawberry Lemonade get struck down by am Emclave soldier that had flown overhead, "Soldier! Think of something! We're getting overwhelmed here!" She yelled "Easy! Stay behind cover and don't waver! We don't give an inch of ground!" Julion yelled back, before stepping out of cover, "Lets see how you like this you bastards!" He yelled as a minigun, courtesy of the designs of Equestria Prime, popped up off his back and began firing like a battle saddle as he fired with Silent Death, and by some act of God or the Goddesses, he was never hit as he laid down seemingly endless supressing fire before retreating back behind cover only when every last one of his 500 rounds had been spent, "Hold your ground!"
The Mockingbirds and Snow headed back the way they came, watching as the Enclave and Red Eye seemed to go head to head occasionally in battles in the distance while overhearing news. It seemed that anywhere they went, only conflict followed them. The group did manage to avoid some conflicts occasionally, but the further and further they traveled, it became more and more frequent until it was almost impossible to avoid confrontation. By the time that they were halfway to Ponyville, which was now a town of ash and burnt ruin, the wasteland seemed to know only violence.
Luckily, before they made it to Ponyville, they were warned the entire place had been overrun by Hellhounds, saving them from a potentially grisly fate. Well, beyond the near constant conflict they wete encountering... ******* Bloody 2 screamed as a plasma bolt grazed her exposed hoof, the searing heat and pain causing her to collapse in agony as the others kept fighting on, they had taken several casualties, but finally, Spike had recovered enough from his fight with Enclave Thunderheads to poke his head out the window and release a torrent of green flame over the remaining Enclave soldiers, all those that survived then quickly beat a hasty retreat, knowing that the battle was lost with having to face a dragon and no heavy weaponry. The survivors cheered, a few giving a small chase before returning back to ensure the Enclave retreated fully. Meanwhile, Julion was taking care of Bloody 2, putting cold water on her burn and wrapping it in guaze, but before he could inject the stimpack, he suddenly felt extremely woozy, and a quick body inspection revealed why, he had taken a hit directly to the shoulder, "...Oh...my..." he muttered before fainting of blood loss, something no amount of training or determination could stop.
The group avoid Ponyville like the plague and now continued north, passing Stable 2 and heading towards the Northern Settlements. While there was nowhere near as much fighting, a raider ambushed occurred every couple hours. It was also the same direction to Canterlot, but since the Enclave first arrived there and killed Everypony there, it was still an enclave hotspot. Some small communities still existed in the region, but were almost always under attack. --------------------- Meanwhile, in the Federation of Las Pegasus Upon losing most former territory and almost half of the total population, the Federation was absolutely furious in every sense of the word. While the civilian population and a small part of the military remained back in the Federation to help rebuild what was lost and to protect the city if it was to be attacked again, Lionheart authorised 'Operation: Sovereign', an eye for an eye operation which would involve the total 'eradication' of what little remained of the surviving Enclave military forces in all occupied Federation territory, all of whom were completely out of supplies and had a low number of non-injured soldiers, followed by executions and inprisonment for any Enclave personnel that surrenders where their fate would depend on the crime. Guardians were flown across the Federation in the middle of the night on the last vestiges of Enclave held bases, and took them back when dawn came with minimal losses. The military then swept through whatever was left and came to the aid of formerly captured towns, such as the border town of Riverprance. The operation was expected to last two weeks and per Federation tradition, remain neutral in all future affairs unless the state or it's allies are directly attacked. In the coming weeks, Julion recovered and regained leadership over the Commandos and began his new career with a bang, leading the first Commando operation that involved every last Commando. In his so called "Operation Purity", a massive attack was launched on Fillydelphia and surrounding slaver warlord camps with the goal of creating a new faction of freed slaves they would support and train. On the back of Equestria Prime, the operation only took a few days, with hundreds of slavers being killed in the process and thousands of slaves being set free, saved from execution for their uprising during the battle with the Enclave. It wouldn't be a very potent faction, but the Commandos quickly ensured that the slavers wouldn't be able to come back. Following this, Julion reorganized the Commandos to make them into an even lighter, more nimble force capable of covering far more area despite their relatively small size and sent them out into the wastes to clear the way for civilization to arise. By the time the Gardens of Equestria was finally activated months later, the Commandos had already forced most anti-civilization forces deep into the countryside, making sure they would be of little threat to established towns. Then, as time passed and peace slowly came to the land, Julion became focused on bringing one of his few...friends...back, he wanted to find a way to bring Littlepip back to Equestria, and not only that, find out how to repair her body so that she wouldn't die within a year or less of coming back. ******** Snow found herself thrust into the position as the Element of Magic, a position she wore with a heavy burden as it reminded her of one of her former friends and favorite idea discussors, Twilight Sparkle. But at the same time, she felt proud that she played a part in removing the poison from Equestria, removing the basis of a lot of problems and destroying the "Wasteland" label. However, afterwards, she became lost in what to do, her age had caught up to her. Her old fire for inventing was gone, nor did she really want to, as her inventions lead to a mass extinction before. She really only had the Mockingbirds to keep her going, who she never gave up trying to find a way to return them to the human forms as long as they wanted to.
As much as they wanted to return to their human forms, the Mockingbirds didn't want to leave Snow nor did the my want to return back to a world where their Legion stood at the doorstep of a Great Wall. All of them felt that they had to stand by Snow, who was almost emotionally broken . They believed that they were the only thing that was keeping her going. The group then decided on something. Snow finally eventually found a way to return the Mockingbirds to human form, but found out how she cpuld anchor them in this realm, letting them stay. At an empty plain outside the burgeoning town of Junction Town 2 years after the Day of Sunshine and Rainbows, Snow looked over her friends, "Well...this is it...I want this to be the time we truly do this. I hope...I hope that this works...so you guys can stay..." she told them
With the Mockingbirds happy that they have returned to their human form, it was awkward for them to get used to their bodies again. Eventually, the feeling of being human returned once more. Other than being inside their human forms, the experiences that the group shared with Snow would last them a lifetime. Damien literally changed, the effects from when he mutated with taint managed to pass along into him, making him superhuman and an almost unstoppable force of nature. However, he didn't know how to perform his mysterious lightning ability in the human form, but it would come with practice over time. While the group was torn apart about either remaining in Equestria or returning to their world, the last two years made them consider the possibility of doing both. Damien spent the most time with Snow, him and the rest of his friends were the reason she was still going after all these years. They were her only support. If they left and never found a way to return, who knows what could have happened to Snow. While the group of Rangers stood outside of Junction Town with Snow, it was a sad feeling that drowned the entire group. While they watched Snow prepare a spell, the group didn't know what to expect. Even if they returned home, the Legion could possibly be inside the Mojave or could have taken the entire area. Possibly nothing could be left for them when they returned home, but it was still their home nonetheless. The group waited to see what would happen with the spell, and if it didn't work, then their minds would be set onto a new purpose. (Sorry, I've been with my family to the Adelaide Show all day, basically an enormous annual carnival since we don't have theme parks, they're all in Queensland.)
Snow took a deep breath as her eyes turned purple as it always did when she was casting essence magic spells, her horn slowly became wrapped by at first one, then two, and three magical aura layers, the sheer amount of power would have been clearly felt by the Mockingbirds as Snow's face clenched up in concentration and she lowered her horn to point at them. Suddenly, five magical tentacles suddenly shut out of her horn and rushed to the Mockingbirds, slamming into their stomach and wrapping them in an extremely bright white light. Snow never relented, it was now or never, she couldn't stop now or they would be caught in some aweful state of half-human, half-pony. It seemed to last forever before the light faded from around the Mockingbirds and the spell ended, but Snow collapsed before she could see the results of the spell. If they stayed or were returned to Earth would depend on them, if they felt closer to Earth than Equestria, then that's where they would go.
By the time that Snow would have woken up, she would have found herself in her bedroom back in Junction Town. It was unknown what happened to the Mockingbirds, but one of them stayed behind just for her sake. Just for Snow. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
Snow looked around the small room she was in, her head hueting quite a lot, "Ugh...where am I..." she muttered
"You're save, if that's what your asking..." A man said from the shadows before revealing himself as a human. The man wore his Mockingbird armor and stood over the bed, happy with the decision he has made. Damien felt like he made the right choice.
Snow blinked as Damien came into view, "O-okay.." she responded before looking around, "Uhm...Where are the others?" She asked
Damien sighed deeply. "It worked, the others returned back to my world. I felt that I should stay with you."
