Snow nodded and sighed, "Alright.." she said, "Well, at least you managed to stay." She said, sitting up, then instantly felt light headed, so she put her hoof to her head, "Ugh..."
Snow nodded, "Yea, I'm fine. Just...head hurts a bit." She told him before pausing for a bit, then giving him a tight hug, "Thank you for staying..." she muttered
Damien responded back by hugging Snow tighter, with a warm smile on his face. "I wouldn't miss this for the world." (Wanna wrap this up soon?)
(Okie Dokie) About twelve years ago, the NCR Mockingbirds mysteriously found themselves inside of a new land. A land that was fulled to the brim with danger, magic and a world that was remarkably like their own. The Mockingbirds stood at the defenses of Hoover Dam in 2281 alongside the NCR, and it ultimately would have been a losing battle were it not for the Mockingbirds ultimately carrying on the actions of unifying multiple factions, such as the Boomers, removing the problems that plagued New Vegas and even managing to convince their enemies, the Brotherhood of Steel to enter a stalemate to help defeat a greater evil. The Second Battle of Hoover Dam was ultimately a NCR/Mojave victory and ended up as a one-sided battle. But for a brief moment of time, Damien reappeared back in this home world as the infamous "Demon of the West" to complete the final jigsaw of the puzzle. With his abilities from Equestria passing over to his human body, Damien attacked the Fort and obliterated the Legions defenses. In the end, Damien killed Caesar and his inner circle after shooting rainbow colored lightning out of his fingertips, killing anything around him instantly. Lanius suffered the same fate, except that his armor unfortunately made the process much worse as it practically melted onto him. The Legion, terrified of the Demon and having all forms of leadership destroyed, collapsed onto itself two weeks later. Just as soon as he appeared, he vanished from Earth. Damien returned to Equestria and would ultimately spend the rest of his days with the mare that turned out to be more of a friend, and in some cases, a mother to Damien.
Snow spent the years trying to move on, spending much of her time taking care of Damien and herself. However, she did perform one last deed for Equestria, when Julion approached her ome more time 10 years after the Day of Sunshine and Rainbows. ********* Julion and his Commandos proved essential in driving out the slaver and raiders from Equestria before he declared they would go full circle and take up the name of their predecessors before their reform into an offensive force; the Elite Guard. It was a symbolic move to try to show Equestria was recovering, and they became a strong voice in making sure that the New Equestria Republic wasn't dominated by former Talon griffons, and held majority sway over Manehatten. However, he never gave up trying to bring back Littlepip, and after 10 years, he found the way to. And not only did he bring back the Light-Bringer, he also brought back Celestia. Then, he managed to convince Snow to fix Littlepip's essence and managed to extend her life to as long as it should be, saving her body from an early death due to the abuse it had taken saving Equestria
Damien, the only human in Equestria, felt proud that he was accepted by the Equestrians. After helping Snow with whatever she needed, the two would soon be approached by the Solider roughly ten years after the Day of Sunshine and Rainbows. While he might have found himself at peace, he was ultimately a warrior at heart and would end up enlisting as the only human solider in the New Equestria Republic. Not only did he ultimately skyrocket through the ranks, but he was then encountered by Celestia personally to serve in the Elite Guard. He would become an extremely influential individual in Elite Guard not because he was human, but because of his combat prowess that made him so feared. Damien would use his former Ranger codename, 'Blackbird' and serve Equestria while sticking closely with Snow. On the other hoof, the Federation immediately reformed itself as a province in the New Equestria Republic. Using it's resources wisely, the Federation tech drastically improved the lives of the wasteland until it sat comfortably on Pre-War levels. The Eternals, involving Lionheart, Fortune and Sandstorm would then relinquish their titles as the head of state of the Federation and would go on to serve as Celestia's personal bodyguards. (And, that's it for me. Don't think I've really forgot anything.)
(Yeah, I think we're done. Wanna go ahead with an 'Evil Commandos' timeline or should we do something else entirely?) - - Auto Merge - - (Yeah, I think we're done. Wanna go ahead with an 'Evil Commandos' timeline or should we do something else entirely?)
(Hm sure, it would be dfferent to go with "evil actually is on the very cuspe of victory/pretty much has already won thing. I'll start it in a bit)
(I was thinking of something along the lines of Julion being 'much' more vengeful against Calamity and the wasteland after Bloody 2's death as the point of divergence. We could start from there and see how it plays out?)
(That's actually along the lines of what I was thinking) Now everypony, sit and be quiet and I shall tell you the story as we know it about the stallion we hide in fear from, the Soldier. It all started about four years ago, and he was the head of a new mercenary group he founded just the two years before and already had a reputation for being an actually honest mercenary group that would oftentimes launch raids on slaver caravans and raider camps. Then, they dissappeared. Nopony knew what happened, but they came to be forgotten. Then, one day, New Appleloosa was found, burnt to the ground, its population slaughtered. Ordinarily, DJ-Pon3 didn't spend too much times on those events due to their depressing nature, all he would do is say the group responsible and interview a survivor or two. But even he didn't know what happened. Then the Steel Rangers in Fetlock meet the same grisly fate. Advanced weaponry and highly sophisticated tactics were obviously used. So everypony began thinking either a truly raider section of the Steel Rangers had emerged or the Federation had gone mad. Then, a major Federation border town was wiped off the map, only this time, a single mark burnt onto a large wooden post, a C crossed by two guns. The Commandos. It has only gotten worse, as they have pulled in the large raider population into their ranks, filling them with bloody thirsty, highly trained, and extremely well armed troops. This is why we are headed tk Tenpony, it is the only safe place in Equestria alongside Friendship City from the lightning stealth raids of the accursed Commandos. Now le- -suddenly the sound of a gun cocking is heard-"Looks like you're too late. Dawn pursed her lips as the holotape bleeped to an end, it was from a year ago it seemed, recent. She sighed as she looked up towards the sunset, ever since the Enclave joined in the fight with Commandos, the cloud cover has been nowhere near as consistent, not that she was going to complain. All she knew is that the Commandos were just nickel-and-diming their enemies, killing off patrols and the like in sudden, lightning raids out of nowhere. They had already all but shattered the Federation outside of Las Pegasus, Red Eye cowered behind the walls of Fillydelphia in fright, and the Steel Rangers hadn't been heard from in a year or two. "Well, at least I get this pretty view..." she muttered before looking out to the ruins of Manehatten. She knew just a few miles away was the old Mark Co Equestria Headquarters which survived the balefire blast nearly intact and now was overrun with Commandos, though you'ld never know it until it was too late. And the few large scale attacks that had been launched on the building always found it empty, the Commandos somehow always knowing in advance. But she was looking at salvation as well, Tenpony. Yes Friendship City was still there but they were getting overcrowded and rumored to be turning away ponies, sometimes even kicking out ponies. However, the strip of land between her and Tenpony had a reputation as a Commando hotbed, prowling the ruins for refugees to ambush. And from wht she knew, you had just a good of chance of being dragged off to Goddesses' knows where for Goddesses' knoe what as being slaughtered. "Well Dawn, might as well get some rest..."
Las Pegasus, Federation of Las Pegasus Jackpot Fortune: Charismatic, Intelligent, Talented, Eternal. These were just some of the words that described the High Commander of the Federations armed forces. Alongside some of the other notable achievements that persisted to continue well after the Great War occurred, she was frustrated wondering about the Commando horde that ultimately pushed past the border towns. The Convention, or what was left of it, unfortunately dropped in numbers the council down to only three ponies instead of the twelve that represented the twelve different regions of the Federation. The Guardians returned to their original purpose, protecting the wall from any threats and expanding the frontier across an endless horizon , specifically the Commandos. Was it not for them, the Federation would have been destroyed and the Solider and Lionheart would have fought each other to the death long ago. Fortune was seen as a role model to a very specific pony, Honey Bee. The young yellow coated pegasi had a brown and black mane and was considered beautiful by many. She also happened to be one of the Federation's Guardians, the very best that the military had to offer and unfortunately entered plenty of conflicts with Commandos. With the immense training and skill that a Guardian had, they stood at more than powerful enough to deal with any threats powerful enough to endanger the lives of over a 100,000 ponies. Honey, upon losing her fore hooves from an explosion during a mission against a Commando, had them replaced with cybernetics. She stood at the wall, watching the horizon ever vigilant. She sighed at what life had become in the wasteland, looking away for just a brief second in sadness before returning to her job. Just as she continued her patrol, another Guardian in full armor came up from behind her and spoke to her. "I would had contacted you on radio, decided this way is better." The Guardian said. "You're being sent out via Vertibuck with another Guardian as guards for a cargo transport to Friendship City and Tenpony Tower. You're needed at FAFB within the next two hours." The guardian then saluted before vanishing from sight. It seemed that Honey was leaving the comfort of home and about to experience hell. (The map is extremely basic, but it's up. http://i.imgur.com/hwfBtKZ.jpg. The Dark Grey area is Downtown Las Pegasus itself and the red area around it is the Wall. The light gray area is the pre-war outer suburbs of the city and is more populated than downtown, but is still surprisingly defensible. The green is restored agricultural land and the city itself is located next to a bay with two water purifiers at the tips of the bay that has purified the entire bay around the city over the course of 200 years. The white is just space left over that didn't really needed to be filled in that could be filled in with farmland, but it's really just basically the beginning of the wasteland.)
Dawn raised her head up from her sleep from the sound of a soft explosion, somepony had triggered her trip mine that was defending the entrance of the roof, to which she instantly sprung to her hooves, her custom hunting rifle Battle-Saddle at the ready, glaring at the entrance. Then, her noose got triggered and she watched as an invisible pony got hogtied and hung upside down, "How many more of you?" She demanded before the pony suddenly became visible, and it wasn't a Commando, "Sorry! I was just using a StealthBuck!" The stallion said urgently, "Please don't kill me!" Dawn groaned, "You can just hang there for a bit, because of you, this position is now open for a Commando attack!" She exlaimed before going downstairs grumbling about "stupid bucks" and ho they "always mess things up"
The Vertibuck took off from the restored 'Friendship Air Force Base', located just on the very northern outskirts of Las Pegasus where it quickly took into the air and zoomed off across the skies, or as high as it was allowed to go any higher without breaching the 'treaty' of the Enclaves cloud cover. It wasn't weaponised since it was only a cargo ship, but the presence of two Guardians in times like these always meant safety and survival was the concern. The ship also had a handy stealth field, but would only needed to be used in the worst possible situations. The Vertibuck made it to the very outskirts of Manehattan before a Trigger happy Commando shot at one of the wings with a powerful cannon and caused the ship to break to spiral down to earth before crashing onto a long avenue, several blocks away from where Tenpony Tower was located. The supplies themselves survived, but the Vertibuck was totalled. To make matters worse, the pilot and the other Guardian, who happened to be a rookie, that Honey was with had died in the crash. The surviving crew members and Honey managed to gather the supplies from the group before heading to Tenpony Tower first due to its distance. Honey acting as the groups only combat trained member as she scouted ahead. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
Dawn returned to see the stallion had somehow untied himself and was now looking over the ruined city skyline, "Quite the slippery one I see." she noted. "Good thing I am or else I wouldn't be here to have been quite fashionably hogtied and hung from my hooves, not to mention almost blown up, by you." the stallion replied. "Oh really? How is that?" she asked, now intrigued. The stallion sighed, "Well, you see, about a year or two ago my group got ambushed by Commandos, they killed any who tried to resist and captured the rest, including myself. I have no idea where we were taken, spent the entire journey blindfolded, but when our eyes were uncovered, they separated us out into groups; fighters, workers, foals, and useless. That fourth group...well, they were either killed or had to prove they did have a use. The foals were taken away, probably to have Commando doctrine drilled into their mind, workers...well, they were essentially enslaved. Finally, it came to us, those put in the fighter group. They told us that if we didn't fight for them, they were going to "break" us, the meaning of that came to be revealed in the 3 months I was forced to fight for them, which luckily was mostly training. Those who resisted...they were taken away then a few days later, they would be brought back, completely different. Their personalities were still there but...it was almost like they had been brainwashed..." the stallion sighed as he remembered the time, "Then, after training, we caught wind that our entire unit had failed in loyalty and was to be entirely broken. Just like they did with those that resisted and the slaver and raider recruits. We decided to try to escape." he shivered before taking a deep breath, obviously holding back tears, "I was the only one that made it out." Dawn's mouth dropped open, "That's what happens to the captives??" to which the stallion nodded sadly. "However, those 3 months have proved extremely worthwhile to me. Like I know the size of groups Commandos like to attack, the kind of ponies they like to attack, I can't really tell you how to resist them other than those traps you set for laying down at night, but I can tell you, Commandos tend to not mess with groups of two or three unless they're behind on their recruitment. They like going after big groups and singular ponies, but don't always hit them even if they could, it's mainly to give refugees a sense of hope that they can make it to safety too. It's why certain areas are virtually untouched by them." Dawn blinked before swallowing, "...Like bloatsprites to honey..." ***** While Honey was ahead, unbeknownst to her, her group was being shadowed. Then, out of nowhere, a large group of Commandos suddenly hit them, killing and capturing them all, and even taking the bodies away to make it look like the group simply vanished. Without a sound, the Commandos disappeared again with their captives whom they rendered unconscious for easy transport, leaving Honey all alone but leaving her be.
Honey survived the attack, but the tiny group of workers she had were gone or simply killed. She was so close to Tenpony as well. With the supply mission being considered a failure, Honey now had a brand new objective. Make it out of the city alive. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
Dawn and the stallion, who was named Rain Shadow, decided to travel together, and using the information Rain told her, they decided the safer bet was to turn back and head out of the city.
Honey walked across the streets, avoiding the Commandos entirely before she was ultimately followed by multiple Commandos. Before she realised what happened, the Commandos opened fire against her. Honey took her energy pistol and shot three shots at the Commandos that instantly dropped them to the ground dead. Honey sighed in annoyance before heading towards the bridges. From what she knew, the bridges were likely heavily guarded. She likely had to fight her entire way out of the city, and she wasn't happy about it Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
