After a period of conversation with Vulpes, the man decided to leave. While he did take in the horrors of the fate of Nipton, he continued on his way instead of having the opportunity to go to the Mojave Outpost and crush the morale there. He wouldn't surface again under the Legions view until a notable occurrence in Vegas a few days later

Janius then headed north with his squad of Fumentarii Legionaires, towards the town of Nipton, which, in itself, was nonstrategic, but the location it was in, at the crossroads of two major roads heading south and almost within eyesight of Nelson, he wanted those inside to leave, especially since the snipers protecting the town he heard had great skill at their job. So, instead of an attack on the town, he was going to attack the economy. He knew the town subsided on scrap from the Repconn facility, his agents told him that much, and he knew what to do. Together under the cover of night, the group snuck behind the town and headed towards the site, and then planted explosives all over the overpass area. After clearing the area to a place where they wouldn't be looked for, Janius triggered the C4, and soon, rockfalls and the collapsed overpass made a formidable wall of debris several meters high and who knows how deep, cutting off access to the Repconn Facility for good.
Janius lowered his binoculars, "Good, that should do the trick." he muttered, "If that town truly did subsist entirely on that site, wouldn't surprise me if most just gave up and left after this."

(Sorry, parents banned me from all forms of electronics all day and likely tomorrow as well. Been bored crazy ever since and couldn't respond.)

Cato arrived at Cottonwood Cove after the boat-trip and was instantly treated by almost the entire camp, except the young and arrogant Aurelius of Phoenix who unfortunately held the rank of Centurion and was the officer of the entire camp, a camp that happened to be vital to the Legions success. Cato believed that the Legion didn't need people like him running slave camps, especially one that's so arrogant to others, even his superiors. The Legion talked to one another with respect, but this vermin treated Legionaries like dirt. If Aurelius spoke to Cato in such a manner, Cato could have killed him with a single blow. At he got his work done.

Cato walked through a orderly line of Legionaries and was greeted by Decanus Severus, 2nd in command of Cottonwood Cove."Ave, Centurion." Severus spoke. "We have received word from across the river of your arrival. Do you have knowledge of your current task?"

Cato nodded. "I was informed that I would be receiving instructions here, then I'd be on my way. What is required of me?"

"Since Searchlight and Nipton, the Profligates have been terrified of our operations in the Southern Mojave. However, as much as they try to focus their efforts onto protecting the Dam, they would be pleased to retake this area, something that is almost impossible for them." Severus spoke. "This is where you come in, Centurion. We need you to perform a strike onto an NCR settlement or camp, one large enough to send the message across."

Cato looked at the man ahead of him, a devilish smile on his face. "I have an idea..."

    -------------------

The Courier noticed what had happened in Novac, and many of the citizens decided to leave from pressure from the sudden in-access into Repcon and from the Legion in the other direction. He instead encountered an NCR Sniper on his travels and after dealing with a problem he was experiencing, which involved the death of a rather unpleasant motel owner, he joined up with the man.

At the Couriers side was an assortment of companions. A cold Sniper, a former caravanner with a sassy attitude and an Eyebot. While their backgrounds and ethics differed from time to time, they all stuck close to the man as they headed towards Boulder City and eventually, New Vegas.

(Going with a Independent Vegas Courier with all Companions, could be fun to play with.)

As tomorrow morning came at the Mojave Outpost, Ranger Jackson and everybody at the outpost was terrified when they found forty NCR bodies, solider and ranger alike, crucified just down the hill. All of them were placed in a large circle as their bodies faced different directions, while each and every solider that was crucified was burnt alive at the stake. However, each solider was individually set ablaze and all of their dog-tags were placed in an organised bundle inside of a box for the NCR to collect. By the time the NCR could collect these dog-tags, they noticed smoke in the far distance.

Although it's buildings were fine, Primm's population had been wiped out. This was the work of Cato and his Legionaries, each individual in the town was collected and systematically executed while confessed to mercy and went to be re-educated. In all, three-quarters of the town was simply dead. The NCR suffered the worst fate, being tied down onto the old roller coaster as it was set alight. All of it.

And it was all so close to home as well, at least two soldiers committed suicide the moment they heard the news. The message was clear to the NCR with how dangerous the people they were fighting truly were.

Cato returned to the fort for further orders.

    Meanwhile...

After the showdown in Boulder City, The Courier and his companions encountered a new member to their group, Veronica. After a brief conversation that soon turned into an argument about the two pro-NCR supporters and the Eyebot that the Courier had, Veronica agreed and soon the group would make it to where the Courier would completely change the American southwest, New Vegas.

(Kinda had no idea what to add as well. Going to get interesting soon, going to make the Courier head to the Fort soon in a few posts time.)

Janius looked down at Hoover Dam from the Fort, which was so close and yet so far. "If only if we had motr working artillery..." he muttered

Cato returned to the fort after a successful mission, and as a reward, he received a brand new set of armor. This set of armor was unlike anything that the Legion currently had, the difference being its vastly different appeal. It was made up with gray bottoms and combat boots with red kneepads. The matching colored chestpiece was almost centurion in design, but looked more organized. What stood out was a sleeved duster that appeared a very dark Crimson red, with the insignia of the Legion directly on the back while some gauntlets appeared on the forearms. Caesar knew very well that Cato preferred light armor, so this custom set of clothing was perfect for one of his most lethal weapons. It looked like normal clothing while giving him the protection of the finest sets of Legion armor.

Cato also received a new weapon. A Brush Gun that appeared brand new, with a white stock and Red details while including a scope. It looked much cleaner than the dirty versions the NCR used, and it was just overall lethal. However, what made it different was that it used .308 rounds instead of the rare .45-70 Gov't ammo, making ammo plentiful while also including a surprisingly reliable ammunition that somehow managed to improve it's stopping power. It was a beast of a weapon for a beast of a man, and Cato was an absolute monster.

(How would a .308 round have more stopping power than a .45-70? It's a significantly smaller round)

Cato looked over at the single howitzer that the Legion had to get ahold of for the coming battle, knowing it didn't work. It concerned him as the massive gun on Hoover Dam, if made operational by the NCR and they made rounds for it, it could potentially do significant damage to the Fort at will. "We need to fix this..."he muttered

(Must have not been paying attention. Why the hell would I add that? Gah! Stupid brain!)

The Courier arrived in Freeside with his companions and after completing some jobs for a special somebody who went around Freeside as The King, they managed to improve their reputation in the area while also managing to gain a free passport each into the Strip.

What followed afterwards was a rush of adrenaline, hate and overall vengeance amongst the mind of The Courier. After talking to Swank and convincing him of Benny's actions, The Courier went to see the snake of a man in the fancy suit, absolutely horrified. After the Courier managed to convince Benny to head upstairs privately, the next moment involved him suddenly cursing and then fleeing The Tops like a whimpering pup towards the Fort.

All eyes turned towards The Fort now. Boone was ready to furfill a death wish, Veronica was ready to do some damage and Cass done everything she could to ensure her Shotgun was working properly. After meeting and picking up another companion named Arcade, this would ultimately result in a suicide mission. Someone was not going to make it out alive.

Caesar summoned Julius to oversee a new mission involving securing an alliance with the Boomers for the upcoming battle, while Cato was inside of the tent making preparations to execute one specific chairmen once his lord gave the signal.

It was soon going to be a showdown.

Julius watched as soon after he entered Caesar's tent, a sleezy looking man in a daisy suit was dragged in, the head of the Chairmen, Benny. After the slight distraction he and his favorite squad walked up to Caesar, "How may I serve you, Caesar?" he asked, saluting Caesar

"We have an important task that must be undertaken, but I've called on you because of your reputation to get things done. You've noticed that here at The Fort, we have a.Howitzer that is currently broken. We might need that fixed prior to the battle, but it's better if we seek an alliance with The Boomers, a tripe with tremendous firepower. Extremely xenophobic, will blow up anybody that enters their killzone. If the support us during the battle, then they can have their freedom. Of course, if this isn't possi-" Caesar spoke before a Legionary quickly ran into the tent, covered in blood with bullet holes in his armor. "My lord, we are being attacked. Couple individuals, one of them happens to be the Courier that we have been watching. This group has already wiped out a Cottonwood Cove."

Caesar looked in anger as he rose from his throne. "Defend the fort! Praetorians, on me!"" Cato remained next to the prisoner, who seemed to be laughing to himself until Cato knocked him in the back of the head, forcing him to shut up.

"Caesar, if I may, tell the Legionaires to pull back and let them come in. Then, once they're inside the Fort itself, trap and surround them, force them to fight on our terms." Janius suggested to Caesar

Caesar thought for a moment before accepting the idea. "Alright, I suppose we can trap them and force them to perform that. Legionaries, fall back!"

Like that, the Praetorian's returned to their previous positions. A few minutes later, The Courier and his companions entered the room. Boone was barely able to contain his rage, Caesar was literally a few meters away from him. However, he was forced to wait out while his companions spoke. Acting in anger now would only get him and everybody else killed.

Janius simply placed his hand on his Peacemaker as he stepped to the side, if they tried anything, he would be sending 6 rounds of firing lead before the group before him could even pull out their rifles. (Watched this one show that showed that a well practiced revolver/pistol gunman can pull out his pistol from rest and bring it up to a firing position and squeeze off like 2 or 3 rounds before the rifleman could even get off one.)

    *******

Nathan listened to the news as he downed a shot of whiskey at the bar at Vault 21, life had finally started looking good for him for the first time since he resigned from the NCR SAP troops for civilian life. He had finally been granted Strip citizenship last week, and in that time he had managed to win the heart of the owner of the Vault 21 hotel, surprising considering all it took to seal the deal was bring her a bunch of Vault suits, well, they WERE extremely dangerous to get a hold of. Then, of course, bad news came flowing out of Mister New Vegas' mouth.
"NCR officials attribute the recent massacres at Nipton and Mojave Outpost to three well known figures within Caesar's Legion. Vulpes attributed with the mass killing and crucifiction of the civilians of the town well one known as Janius Truvus, who according to NCR officials, has been of major concern to the NCR for two or three decades now due to potential connections to the Enclave, has been posted as the man responsible for the brutal killing of five NCR troopers in Nipton. Meanwhile, Cato Octavius, an extremely dangerous Centurion within Legion rumored to be in the skill range of Legate Lanius was determined as the mastermind of the Mojave Outpost and Primm Massacres. NCR officials were quoted as saying this men were attributed with these brutal acts as they match descriptions of previous actions of these three men. In other news, Tops Hotel owner Benny has been reported as have taken an "Extended vacation" his second in command, Swank, had this to say..."
Nathan growled, "Just what I wanted to hear. Legion on the border of the NCR itself. It's like they don't even care about the Dam anymore, they just cross the Colorado wherever the hell they want..."

(I have an idea, why don’t we let kill off the Courier and allow Nathan to be the “Hero” of this RP? I’m thinking of killing him off early, but not without significantly altering the story of the RP. I’m thinking that the Courier manages to mortally wound Caesar somehow while the other inner circle survived, such as poison or getting stabbed or shot near the heart or something. Maybe Julius can take the throne?)

“You're the courier who's caused so much trouble for my Legion, and yet you dare come before me.” Caesar began speaking about the crimes that the Courier had committed against the Legion, and seemed to go onwards until deciding to wrap it up. “So tell me this, because I really want to know. I am feared - with good reason - but you of all people dare to come before me, the mighty Caesar. What were you thinking?”

The Courier looked at his Companions for a moment before he decided to answer. It was stupid, but if they made it out of the Fort alive, that was an accomplishment in itself. “We are just thinking how much better this world would be if you were put into the ground, wannabe God-King.”

The Courier suddenly pulled out a pistol and tried to shoot Caesar in the heart or head, only to find that Cato suddenly came out of nowhere and slammed his right hand and ballistic fist directly into the chest of the Courier, sending him flying like a pinwheel before landing hard onto the ground. He received quite a blow before the Praetorians suddenly formed a square defensive line around Caesar’s bedroom as he fled inside. Cato stood several meters between the two groups of people, directly in the middle of the tent. While the Praetorian at the door and the Legion mongrel suddenly attacked Cass and Veronica from behind, taking them off guard before hitting them both in the spine, resulting in quite a serious injury for the two women. These two women, for the crime of threatening Caesar as outsiders, would either be punishable with death or suffer the fate of being a female slave. The Courier, Boone, Arcade and ED-E looked down the lone Legionary in the middle of the tent. Unlike the other praetorians, he appeared much different. His armour and long sleeved crimson duster appeared unlike other Legion armour, almost like something that could have been worn in California. However, the man in the middle was undeniably Legion and wore two Ballistic fists on each hand. His new rifle was currently on his back and also carried three other weapons, a black bladed machete, a Colt 1911 and a 10 inch Bowie Knife at his waist with a red grip. Cato was going to be a hell of a man to take down, if they could take him down at least.

Cato only looked at the men dead in the eyes before getting into an offensive pose. He looked at them as he spoke to the three men (and robot), a fight ready to take place.

    “You shall not pass”

(Or he could die early from his brain tumor?)

Suddenly a click could be heard behind the Courier's head and a gladius found itself poking Boone in the back, "How dare you come and try to kill the mighty Caesar. A fool's errand for fools indeed." Janius said simply, pushing the Courier towards Cato before pistol whipping Boone and sending three shots into ED-E, disabling the robot and placing his knee on Boone, plunging his gladius into Boone's gut and disembowling him.

The Courier headed towards Cato, and tried to shoot him while he tried to regain his balance. Unfortunately, nothing could be done now to save him. Cato came down onto him in all directions, punching him in the gut before uppercuting him in the jaw. While the Couriers head was in air, Cato slammed his fist into his heart that promptly sent The Courier onto the ground. This fool deserved to be crucified, death just didn't suit him. Arcade didn't even bother fighting back after seeing the two men decimate the entire group, just getting into his knees and throwing his weapons across the tent. This seemed to be useful

(oh, idea, why don't we have it to where Arcade is brought in as Caesar's physician, only in this world he makes it look like he can't do anything to help Caesar or even kills him during the surgery?)

Janius moved his Peacemaker to point directly at Arcade's head, "You. Come here. Stay peaceful and we will spare your life." he ordered, to which Arcade meekly followed. "Good. You're a Follower, no? Know anything about medicine?"
    "Well yes bu-" Arcade started
"Congrats, you're now a doctor in the Legion. Any questions?"
    "I-uhm"
"Good, someone get a collar on him."

    ************

Nathan looked back towards Vegas as he left the outskirts, "Here we go again..." he muttered, he was in his old 1st SAP Assault Armor with his trusty laser rifle in his hand and a .45 auto on his belt. He was headed towards Camp Forlorn Hope, if he was going to be of any help, that would be the place to start.
