(It's oki, I understand, not much you could have built on ^^ Let's say Taylor and Jonathan went to Megaton to relax and recooperate and for now, we can play with secondary characters, like you could do a kind of "Adventures of Fawkes or some character (that is obviously not as badass as Taylor and Jonathan and stuff, but good)" sorta thing and I could build on the whole Gloriian thing until we feel Taylor and Jonathan would be ready to go back into the fray?)
(Why do imagine Fawkes as Heavy Weapons Guy? That's sounds like fun. Can actually picture Fawkes screaming Heavy quotes and all that.)
(I'll go with this until Jonathan and Taylor recover) Fawkes. He was many things to many people. Super-Mutant, Titan, Freak. It's not like the names were his fault however, it was the fault of his murderous kin that are scattered around Washington DC. Imprisoned inside of a tiny cell for centuries due to his oddity of remarkable intelligence amongst his kind, he was set free by a young man and woman named Jonathan and Taylor. Now serving his saviours to repay the debt he owes them for complete freedom, Fawkes has dedicated his life to one thing. Destruction of all Evil. Channelling all of his uncontrolled rage into a force of good, he has made quite a wave across the Capitol Wasteland. This is one of his tales.
Navius looked around Greyditch, pleased with how the small settlement was establishing itself. People were cleaning up the streets, building up the defenses around the settlement, and the machinery and defense systems of the old Gloriian fort were put in place. He liked to keep at least half of his force inside Greyditch, about 20 men, to guard the settlement. They had had some problems with raids by Super Mutants, Outcasts, and Raiders trying to uproot them, but none had ever suceeded in breaking even their foward defenses. He couldn't help but feel please, he was going to bring a little bit of Glory to this God-forsaken place
Fawkes was just doing what he did best, destroy evil. The Super Mutant had already cleaned up at least three Raider nests by himself. He hasn't had time to leave DC and find other areas for him to discover, all of his efforts were focused on whatever raiders remained in DC alongside the final destruction of any Super Mutant control of the city. Since Vault 87 was destroyed, the Super Mutants have had no source to replenish their ranks. After Taylor and Jonathan had told Elder Lyons this, attacks on the Super Mutants have dramatically increased. By now, it seems that for the first time in many many years, the Mutants are beginning to falter and lose control of the city. Fawkes didn't consider himself as a Super Mutant, rather a Meta-Human instead. He hated his dumber kin and wished to see their end, being a surprisingly powerful yet unlikely ally for the Brotherhood of Steel.
(Oh, something kinda funny, I was clearing out that Fort the Talons use as their main base, and I had killed their leader, and when I came back out to move on to the main area, I discovered that the Brotherhood had suddenly moved in x3) Navius looked out across the tidal basin to the Purifier, "Strange...That a place like this would end up being our home..." he muttered, before lifting up his wrist and starting his PIP-SALI's hologram, and opened up his commands, "PIP, cancel any attempt to contact Terra. Turn navigation system to closest satellite guidance." In a flash, the hologram changed to an overhead GPS view of his location, "Mark closest settlement..."HasiisNova"(New Home)." after that, he turned it off and looked around, he was going to go out on the next patrol. He had been cooped up too long in the Arlington Ruins.
(I swear the same thing happened to me as well!) Slavers were almost non-existent in the Capital Wastes since the destruction of Paradise Falls, while Super Mutants are appearing less and less from Vault 87. Now the same thing was happening to the Raiders, and it was enough of a reason for Fawkes to continue his crusade against evil. A raider camp was built next to a highway, large enough to contain dozens of raiders but small enough to not be seen as a serious threat by anyone in a position of Power. From observation, these Raiders wore little to no armor at all. Having broken or just generally awful weaponry made things worse for them, as a Super Mutant with a pristine Gattling Laser was heading their way to blow them away.
(Must be a triggered event by killing the Talon commander. Also, I wouldn't say Slavers are none existent as they still have plenty of reason to be around, especially with the Pitt, but they are far less organized, more like Raiders now, just better armed. Also, cant think of anything )
(You could get a character to meet up with Fawkes, perhaps?) (I might reinstall Skype again later, might be able to talk again :3)
(aight. Also; cool! I look forward to it :3) A small scouting patrol of Gloriian troops, only 3 Magniitiums, were observing the raider fort, although it was remote, anytime Glory got wind of any concentration of raiders larger than 10, they started to scout and prepare to assault. "Looks fairly new." Squiidariius Triivalus muttered, "Their defenses are quite lacking, look like something meant to keep out the animals and not-so-determined humans." The other two nodded, "Looks like there is a hill about three uncenalfultas (100 meters about) to our 2 o clock that would give us a shot over the fence, we could pick them off from a distance." Securiigula offered. "Sounds good, lets head out, keep your head down, I don't want to give our position away."
While the Gloriian troops were getting themselves ready to attack, a giant Super-Mutant suddenly came out of nowhere with a Gatling Laser and obliterated everything inside of the Raider Nest. They never stood a chance, with the laser fire almost killing them instantly or passing through their bodies entirely. They all dropped to the ground dead, while the survivors tried to desperately flee from the carnage.
The Gloriians blinked in surprise at the sudden attack, but decided to pick off the survivors, making sure no raiders made it out to terrorize another community. However, not wanting to tangle with this super mutant with the gatling laser, they decided to leave him alone and simply laid and observed him from afar
Once the damage was done, Fawkes went about the ruined nest to perform various duty's. He decided to set up shop here for a while, needing to take a rest for a while and catch his breath. He took all of the bodies of those he killed, and those that tried to escape and gathered them together to burn in a funeral pyre. Being creative in his method, he set the corpses alight by taking the leg of a wooden chair, shoot a laser into the piece of wood that would cause it to combust, then hold the chair leg over their bodies until a piece of clothing would catch alight. Showing remarkable intelligence for a super mutant, not even the normal mutants would be smart enough to do this. He then rested on the middle of a sofa as he sat down, taking up almost the entire couch while he used his gigantic fingers to operate a nearby radio.
(Hm...wanna get back to Taylor and Jonathan? Seems like a good place, like Fawkes hears somethimg about them on the radio and heads that way?)
(M'kay) Fawkes turned on the radio to hear the last of Three-Dog making another one of his reports. "About two weeks ago, our little Vault Dweller from 101 participated in the battle to fight against the Enclave. When things got nasty, such as Project Purify on the verge of blowing up, The Lone Wanderer made the heroic choice to sacrifice herself inside the chamber and help give the wasteland the water it desperately needs. However, things went haywire. Our girl didn't actually die! Recent reports from the men and women in the Brotherhood report that she is indeed alive and well, and is relaxing at home with another companion of hers. Looks like our Lone Wanderer isn't so lonely anymore!" Fawkes decided to head towards Megaton for a surprise visit. Surely they would allow him inside the gates, especially with the good word that Taylor has given of him to its inhabitants.
Jonathan was on his way back to their home from Craterside Supply when he noticed Fawkes at the gates of Megaton, widening his eyes in surprise and ran home, yelling througb the door, "Taylor! Fawkes is here for some reason!"
"What? Wh-what does he want now?" Taylor called out, doing her hair in the bathroom. She went downstairs and opened the door, having grown her hair until it was now just below her neck.
"I dont know, i just saw him by the front gate." Jonathan replied, "I really don't understand what made him come here.."
