Taylor nodded before her and Jonathan headed to see Paladin Tristan, wanting to hear about the new assignment they were being issued with.
Taylor and Jonathan made the long trip to one of the most dangerous place in the wasteland, Old Olney. They had to find a Tesla Coil somewhere inside the cursed settlement. It was a secret that Deathclaws flooded this place, especially underground in the cold dark corridors with little room to move about. Aside from that, rumours of the Enclave being in this place were even worse. This was a suicide mission for anyone but The Lone Wanderer and the man she traveled with. "God, I hate this place." Taylor muttered under her breath when the town came to view.
Jonathan nodded, "I know. I remember a mission report I read that was from about 15 years back about a technology hunt in the ruins, trying to fins the Tesla Coil. According to the report, it said that all but one of the four knights were killed. Scary stuff."@
Taylor looked at the town, easily spotting at least twenty Deathclaws on the surface alone alongside a small Enclave outpost just outside of the town. She came up with a plan after noticing a caged Deathclaw. "You know what I'm thinking?"
(Oh, on Skype btw) "Wwll, one of the Scribes gave me that scrambler which will make Enclave Deathclaws our friends.." he replied
"Lets get started" Taylor told Jonathan, before deciding to start her attack plan. She quickly moved to the Deathclaw cage below and once she was at the terminal, deactivated the security measures to let the beast roam free.
Jonathan stayed close, keeping an eye out for Enclave as the doors opened up and the Deathclew looked out of the cage, getting its bearing
The Deathclaw suddenly roared loudly and charged the small Enclave camp, completely taking the Enclave by suprise. The small camp never stood a chance as the Deathclaw tore through them all. The controlled Deathclaw also ran to attack other Deathclaws, until it went out of range of the transmitter and its head exploded. Taylor and Jonathan took this chance to sneak into Old Olney undetected
They slipped into a sewer system, "I really shouldn't use my lance for this one, huh?" He muttered to her, pullibg out his broad laser rifle
"No, avoid close combat at all costs." Taylor told him, her own Laser Rifle in hand. Once in the sewers, she suddenly felt something move. "I have a bad feeling about this"
Jonathan suddenly grabbed Taylor and pulled her back behind the corner, "Sh. I hear something." He quickly muttered quietly to her, getting in front of her, he put his weapon around the corner and fired three shots in quick succession, the third resulting in the gargled sound of a Deathclaw being killed. Looking around the corner, he saw that one laser had sliced off the Deathclaw's left leg, the second missed entirely, and the thirs had nearly cut the head off, "Thought so." He muttered
Taylor looked at the dead Deathclaw and had one uneasy feeling, there was tons more from where that came from. Old Olney was possibly the largest Deathclaw breeding ground in the wastes, the whole place was absolutely crawling with them. The sound of the now Dead Deathclaw had now alerted the others of its pack, and dozens of them came out of nowhere as they charged towards the two wastelanders
Jonathan noticed a door in the side of the sewer system, quickly opening it he pulled Taylorninto it and quickly shut the metal door, just in time too as the sound of Deathclaws slammig into the door resounded through the room. Looking around, Jonathan tried to find things to make a makeshift barricade
Taylor kept her head down, aiming down the sights of her Laser Rifle as she looked at the metal door. The sounds of banging by the Deathclaws got louder and louder, just as a pair of Claws managed to pierce through the metal and tear downwards through the door. A pair of eyes were barely visible on the other side, and Taylor took an amazing shot with her Laser Rifle that did something amazing. The laser beam shot through the hole into the door and into the left eye of the Deathclaw that almost tore open the steel door, burning a hole clean through his head while burning most of its brain. The beam of energy didn't stop however, as it also managed to hit and kill the Deathclaw behind it as well.
"Overcharged cell?" He asked Taylor in a moment of awe before firing his own rifle at the next deathclaw that began to try to teae open the door, "Now less talking and more fighting!"
The two of them tore down any Deathclaw that tried to tear open the door, their laser rifles managing to hit them in critical spots and dealing a ridiculous amount of damage. After an hour of being under siege, it suddenly stopped. About a hundred Deathclaws were dead around the door and the nearby area, with enough bodies to almost make walking out of the door impossible.
"I think we mamaged to attract every damn Deathclaw in Olney..." Red muttered as theast one fell to the ground, "Still, we should probably be pretty careful.."
