"Supposed to be Enclave here as well, I doubt that small outpost was it." Taylor told him, pushing a corpse out of the way. "But...anyway"
Jonathab nodded as he helped clear a path for both for them to walk through, "Well, shouldnt be too hard, doubt they're expecting anyone, so there likely isnt a ambush waiting for us, but keep your eye out." He muttered, "But lets continue to be prepared for more Deathclaws."
After a nice pleasant trip through hell and beyond, the two of them made it straight through Old Olney as they navigated through multiple groups of Enclave and enough Deathclaws to make anywhere else in the wastes look tame. Not to mention that this was done almost in the dark and in tight corridors, enough to terrify any sane person. After a brief encounter with a Sentry Bot, the two of them made it to the Tesla Room.
The sound of loud sparking filled the air, and as Jonathan investigated the source, he saw a hole in the floor that was actually a chamber in which the tesla coil sat spitting sparks out at metal plates on the wall surrounding it, "Hm...I guess we need to find a way to shut off the electrical current..." he muttered
"There must be shut-down switches nearby. Lets keep an eye out" Taylor told Jonathan, immediantly finding the first one and pulling the switch.
Jonathan nodded as he started to prowl through the room, finding a flight of stairs down, he decided to follow it. After going through a room seeing no breakers, he came across a terminal. Booting it up, he quickly discovered it was heavily encrypted, intrigued and encouraged by the challenge, he pulled over a chair and cracked his fingers, "Alright terminal, reveal your secrets to me!"
Taylor went about the room turning off the switches. Once everything was done, she just went about doing her own thing
Jonathan managed to hack open the terminal to see a few options, one said "Unlock door" and another waa "deactovate electrical field". Selecting both, he heard a door ooen and saw the tesla coil. Smirking, he went over and grabbed the tesla coil and went to find Taylor
Once everything was down, she went to look about for Jonathan. Once the two of them met up, they needed somewhere to leave this cursed place.
Jonathan found a ladder up, "This looks like a way out." he told her, climbing up the ladder and pushing off the covering manhole to find themselves outside Olney, they were finally in the clear.
Taylor got out of the manhole and quickly went into a commando roll the moment she hit the surface, before having her laser rifle in hand search the area around her. Three Deathclaws, likely all that's left in Old Olney. She took them out from a distance without them even realising what happened, eliminating the Deathclaw problem forever in the town. Maybe the Ghouls can now actually have a place to settle down in the wastes without fear of the Deathclaws coming down on them. She looked back at Jonathan. "That's all that done. We risked out lives over a Tesla Coil, so it must be important for something. Wonder what the Brotherhood needs it for?"
"If I had to guess since it had to do with electricity, they probably feel like it could provide a way to make a weapon that is more effective against Enclave power armor." Jonathan replied, "Now lets get out of here, I dont want to stay here any longer than needed."
The two of them made it back to the Citadel after a long trip. While they didnt know it yet, the two of them were about to play the biggest role of their young lives
