(Alright, I'll change the post then. Might as well delete it instead due to it's irrelevance to the plot.)
(Replacement post) Ruby looked around the town's mass pile of corpses, seeing how much of a mess that the next occupants had to clean up. That was their problem, not hers. She then looked concerned about the large amount of interest that each of the wasteland powers wanted on M.A.D. The Enclave know of it's existence, but have found nothing of its location, along with every other faction in the wasteland. The Commandos, knowing of its existence long before the others, had a 'head start' for its search and eventually pinpointed possible locations. They were miles ahead of their competition, which in retrospect, was a very good thing. "This is going to get very bad soon. We have a Fascist paramilitary organization above the clouds, a dictator located in Fillydelphia with a slaver based army, a pre war military organization that had ties with the Ministry of Technology all those years ago, and now, a benevolent immortal super solider who not only rules a prosperous city in the very far northwest, but is also one of the Eternals. All of them with their eyes on the prize. Forget find of the century, this is potentially world changing.” Ruby said, pulling a map out of her saddlebag and spreading it outwards onto a destroyed road. “We’re up for ideas, where do you want to go?”
"Where we were heading before, which we need to be heading right now, we've lost precious time here, I want to find M.A.D. ASAP so we can quickly secure it and call in a Commando garrison force." Hunter said to Ruby, before heading to walk out, ignoring the bodies, but not without taking the tech off the dead Commando and giving it to Ruby, "You'll need that more than he does." He told her as he stripped the body of any possible way to identify as a Commando, a standard practice for in-field deaths to make it look like no Commando has died before. Then, he went to lead the way out and towards the first possible location.
"Shall we continue." Ruby said as she followed Hunter out of the dead town. Ruby took the equipment from the dead commando, and equipped everything except the armor incase she would be mistaken as a member for the commandos, which would have been pointed out as having severely less training. She gave the extra armor to Hunter for keeping as they continued to travel into the wastes.
(Uh, Hunter already took off the equipment on the dead Commando) After awhile of travel, they arrived at the spot that was marked on the map, "Alright, so if MAD is here, the entrance will be somewhere within a click of this position." Hunter said, "And don't expect to be able to see the entrance, remember, the building was so confidential that many ponies in Equestria didn't even know it existed. Probably the best way to find it is to step on it and feel something different from dirt."
Ruby walked around the dirt for a while, equipping a nifty portable metal detector that helped her finding the facility. It was cleverly placed, with her metal detector almost finding nothing at times. Until, almost half an hour later, the detector made it's signature noise. "I think i found something."
Hunter looked over to Ruby holding a metal detector and trotted over to her, "Really?" he asked, trotting to the spot the detector beeped. He pawed at the dirt, quickly uncovering a sheet of metal, "Hm...Hey, you got a brush with ya Ruby?"
"I always happen to carry one when i go scavenging just to remove the dirt of some of the stuff i happen to find." Ruby then passed Hunter a small brush with a lime green handle. "This should handle the job well, the brush itself also protects fine detail of the item as well."
Hunter nodded, taking the brush and begun to clear the dirt off the sheet of metal, which had obviously not been buried on purpose, but more covered by years and years of dirt blowing onto it, "Dear Celestia I pray this is it." He muttered, resisting the urge to sneeze from the dirt clearing
Ruby held her breath, awaiting for the tense moment of discover of what could be the most important find she has even undertaken. She watched as Hunter wiped dust away from the piece of metal silently. She looked around to ensure nothing, or nopony, was watching as it could reveal the facility's location, if it was the real deal however. She then went back to watching a possible groundbreaking discovery.
Hunter swept aside the dirt, revealing a small handle the had the letters "M.C.M." engraved on it in a seal type pattern, "That's the emblem for the Mark Corporations Manufacturing wing..." Hunter muttered, "I don't know if it's MAD, but it's definitely Mark Co."
"This is still a groundbreaking find. Not what we wanted, but still worth it. The Commandos can still take this and manufacture what they need, such as new rifles and armor. Even without M.A.D, your still a peg above the competition. This could even lead us to the right direction if we explore it, it might contain some sensitive information about M.A.D's location. Or, it could even be an expansion of M.A.D itself and the rest of the facility could be connected to the real entrance. OK, so the last theory sounds a bit far fetched. But hey, your at least we are making some astounding progress." Ruby spoke. "Maybe we should let the Commandos themselves explore this, we have no idea what is inside."
Hunter shook his head, "There's still the chance this is MAD. Tell me, if you ran a top secret facility, would you put its name out in the open?" he asked, before bracing himself and flinging the door open, flinging dirt off the rest of the door and unleashing a small gust of 200 year old air that smelt....surprisingly clean, too clean..."Come on, let's investigate." Hunter said as he took a step into the dark underground
"Of course not. I don't reveal secrets like that." Ruby responded as she followed Hunter into the facility. It was pitch black, and she had absolutely no viability. She had never seen the darkness like this before, where she could not see her own hoof. She continued to follow Hunter into the facility as she pulled out a pistol, just incase something was inside. She knew she did not need it, but she could never be sure. The last time she was unarmed, she almost got killed by raiders. From being simply for safety, her weapons have become almost a symbolic part of her life.
Hunter and Ruby came to a large door that with some effort, slowly opened on squeaky, rusted hinges, revealing a large chamber that was too dark to really see in, but that soon was fixed as bright lighting soon filled the chamber, revealing what basically looked like an ornate, white marble entry hall, and in the center was a seal of the the Mark Co Armament Development Derpartment. "Ruby...We found it...By Celestia we found it!" Hunter said excitedly as his helmet suddenly rolled up and muffled murmuring could be heard from inside. After a few moments, his helmet rolled back down, "Alright, I have sent our location to the Everfree and to the Soldier. Now, let's explore!" Hunter said taking one step forward onto the seal when a red laser suddenly turned on and scanned the pair, "Welcome Commandos. You are 203 years late for your scheduled tour, but no matter, better late than never! Come on in!" a robotic sounding mare's voice rang out, a voice Hunter and the rest of the Commandos were quite used to as the wall at one end of the hall opened to reveal several large steel doors that slowly swung open, "Man...This place is in great shape!" Hunter exclaimed, almost shaking with excitement
Ruby was still shaken by the discovery as she looked around the seemingly endlessly high ceilings and hallways around the facility. Ruby walked around in awe, not saying much due her being busy taking in every single detail of the facility. It was likely that she would never be allowed in the complex again, so she made the most of her time with Hunter as they explored. She thought about the robotic mares voice that sounded across the P.A system, a pony she had only heard about in old news articles and holotape videos. She knew the pony as Snow Mark, whom was known as a celebrity and a inventor in some of the records she found long ago. With the Commandos finding M.A.D, they were now a peg above the completion. While she knew the others to conquer and rule, Crimson’s empire to the far north west on the Equestrian Coast Line remained idle with no intentions of expansion. When the prospector visited the city, she knew that the small empire ruled a seemingly small nation in comparison to Red Eye, but it’s sheer power was on par with the Commandos and the Enclave. If Crimson’s background revealed more details about what the Eternals were doing, if they were even alive, and a somewhat mythical organization that was tied to the Free Economic Zone of Los Pegasus, then they were unstoppable. Nonetheless, she continued to explore the facility with Hunter with a smile on her face. They had found it, and in all it’s glory.
Hunter looked from the tour path to rows and rows of weaponry making machinery, all in pristine condition, "With these...The first true weapons since the Great War could be made...Maybe there's even a medical aid area where medical potions, radaway, rad-x and more could be made!" He exclaimed, then looked forward to see a large garage door at the end of the path, interested, he hurried over to it and pulled a lever beside it that raised it up, revealing a huge cavern filled with everything from the smallest Mark Co pistol to tanks, Vertibirds, and jets. "This must have been the staging area for the weapons that they made here, still in the same position they were 200 years ago on the Last Day, waiting to fight a war they would never be a part of..."
"It's beautiful. It seems that the Commandos are going to give them a new home under your banner" Ruby said as she looked at the pristine detail of the pistols and rifles she came across. She looked in awe at such advanced weaponry, technology almost alien like to her. "The road to progress will be a long and dangerous one in the wastes, but only one will be left standing in the end." Ruby then turned around and smiled at Hunter. "The Commandos could restore true order in the wastes, something i believe in seeing this." she said pointing at the endless cavern of weaponry and the many tanks and jets.
"And just what in the name of Equestria do you two think you are doing on PRIVATE and CONFIDENTIAL property?!" a voice that sounded awful like that robotic mare's voice, only for real yelled at them. Hunter froze for a bit then turned to see a white unicorn mare who looked about middle aged and very, very angry, and who was wielding a very dangerous looking rifle. "Uh, sorry m'am..." he started "NO! Sorry doesn't c-You're wearing Commando armor...You're mimicking my sister's private corp?!" the mare's voice grew angrier and angrier and she pointed the gun more and more threatening at the two, "That armor ain't gonna do anything for ya with this gun!"
