(Almost finished the first chapter of my Fanfic, got to ‘Adjust’ it now to tie in with this RP) Crimson let out a big sigh. “Looks like the past has finally caught up with me.” Crimson allowed Dark into the house to see winter relaxing watching the news. “Winter, remember that meeting about the program, well they are here, and Dark is here to take me to Big Mountain.” Crimson was shattered that he was no longer a commando, but instead was given an opportunity to become a experiment, a labrat for these scientists. “I don’t know if I might ever return home, I’ll miss you winter.” Winter suddenly balled her eyes out crying. She hugged Crimson so hard that she left marks on his coat. Crimson then packed up his stuff and said good bye to winter one last time. “Remember Auntie Winter, when the end of days comes, I will follow you but if I don’t come and I’m presumed dead. Then put yourself in Cryo until I arrive.” Crimson said to Winter, she had to let go of the past now. “Wake me when you need me.” Winter said to Crimson as they good bye. Crimson then left his home and walked off into the night with Dark.
"I truly am sorry." Dark said slowly, "What they want to do to you...it's wrong. It's even worse than the megaspells that could kill us all. It's terrible." she said, "I tried to convince them that the Commandos Quarantine was working, but no, they said that the front lines weren't moving back fast enough." Dark shook her head angrily, "I have a feeling that with the leaders currently in place, this war isn't going to end until one or both nations is in ashes."
“I know it’s wrong but these leaders have evil plans. They don’t know just how fragile the planet really is. I don’t know what they are going to do to me, but for all I know, if they can make one of me, then the Zebras will do the same thing.” Crimson said to dark along the way to the facility. “it’s sick, but I believe it’s for Equestria’s future.
Dark snorted, "What good would turning you into a monster do? None, that's what, zip, zero, nada. Sometimes the war just clouds the vision of those around you, and you can only watch as those around you begin to care for nothing more than the war's end, in any way shape or form." Dark looked forward to see that they were almost there, but told Crimson to stop. "Crimson, listen to me. This will probably be the last time you see me, so let me tell you somethings one last time. Don't ever let them take your personality away. You are not their slave. You are not their test animal to do as they please with. You must choose what is best for you. Also, never, ever, ever hurt those that do not deserve it. Protect the innocents with your life, you got that? And one last thing." Dark looked Crimson dead in the eye, "If you do end up immortal, and outlive me, find one of my descendants. Protect them, help them. Please." Dark looked back at the facility, "Now go, don't ever forget Winter, don't ever forget those that have cared for you Crimson. No matter what!"
Crimson thought about what Dark had just said. “I will honour your life after death Dark. Your descendents will be under my protection. I will guide them under my protection to help repair what is already broken.” Crimson then gave Dark a custom harmonica, the same one his parents gave to him before they died. “Remember me by having this; this holds a special place in my heart. I will never be anyone’s slave as long as I’m alive. And remember Dark, i will never forget how important you and winter is in my life. I will remember you always, but i now have to say goodbye to you. Remember me Dark, and goodbye.
"Goodbye Crimson." Dark said, holding the harmanica to her chest then her wings opened up, "I wish you the best of luck in there." and with that, she disappeared in a black flash.
Crimson turned around to see the facility. There were 5 different well renowned scientists at the entrance, waiting for the chance for Crimson to arrive. “Welcome to Big Mountain Crimson. We are so happy you have come to participate in this program. Im Dr.Hooves and I am the head scientist of the Big Mountain research centre.” Dr.Hooves then looked at the other scientists of his team “Im sure you will like it here. Crimson had no idea what was coming, but all he knew about the program was the immortality chip that was implanted in the brain and the virtually indestructible skin technique. Everything else about the program was unknown.
"Please follow us." Dr.Hooves said, motioning for Crimson to follow him, "We have a lot of work to do. A lot of testing, experiments, more tests, even more tests...."
Crimson felt a little uneasy. Crimson followed Dr.Hooves into a large dome; the centre of the dome has this large operating table. “Crimson, you are not the only test subject in Big Mountain, there are 8 other test subjects waiting to meet you. But for now, we need to conduct what is the most difficult experiment. We need to implant you with the immortality chip and tighten your skin to be virtually indestructible. So, you will become a god.” Dr.Hooves said. “Please rest on the operating table and we shall begin”
After Crimson lay down, they placed a mask over his face, "Now just just think nice things and take deep breaths, you'll be up before you know it." (Time to fast forward about 7 years in the future, 2 years before Last Day)
(WOOOOOOOOOOSH) Crimson was no longer himself anymore. Crimson has almost all of his former physical attributes; he was now immortal and virtually indestructible. To test how he was indestructible, the scientists shot missiles, grenades, high powered sniper bullets, energy beams, chain guns and even detonated a low level Megaspell above him. He barely got a scratch and has managed to keep his memories of the world before the facility in perfect harmony. The Immortality chips chemical had somehow managed to become another part of his brain, he was sane, except for the other test subjects. Half of them died during the first augmentations and the rest of them were mortally wounded. Crimson was the last of the test subjects, and he was beginning to run out of friends. He also discovered he had more augmentations after that first experiment. His reflex time was reduced to 0.20 milliseconds and was significantly reduced in a combat situation. His perception was also significantly increased, as he can see and hear anything in a 5 mile radius. His magic also got a boost up as he can lift much heavier objects. His speed and strength has also increased enormously. He might never leave this facility, but at least the world he knows is safe.
In the last 7 years, Equestria had started to gain the upperhoof against the zebra nation. The Commando's blockade of supplies was getting tighter and tighter, to a point where unless it was done in complete secrecy, well hidden, and many other requirements that te zebras simply did not have the time follow through for, nothing got through. So many attempts on Dark's life by the desperate zebras forced her to be retracted to Equestria, but she choose to stay in Ponyville as it was closer than Canterlot than the front lines. Equestria has moved into the zebra nation after a long pause at the old border, and Equestria's technology was increasing all the time. An example of this advancement was sitting right in front of Dark, a CK-RA 17, the latest energy rifle made for the Commandos. It fired a bolt of pure energy that upon impact, fired all the nerves in the area, killing it, all without leaving a mark. Little did anypony or anyone know was that this would be the final generation of the weapon. It was not seen that in just a short two years that Equestria would be razed under the fires of balefire and megaspells, and Dark did not know that her decision to stay in Ponyville very well saved her life.
Crimson had been tested, experimented, augmented then tested some more. He was almost a god with all these augmentations and couldn’t wait until he was ready for field testing. But the scientists said that he still wasn’t ready as they said they could improve him abit more. He was also given his own custom armor. It was jet black and it covered his back legs and his entire torso. He was given his signature weapons as well, a High Powered lever action Rifle and a small energy based tomahawk. Crimson by himself could now wipe out an entire batch of the Zebra Army. With more test subjects coming in each day, the scientists stopped the immortality chip and the indestructible skin as the subject would have a 99% chance of death. So they replaced the 1st generation of hyper expensive immortal augmentations with a 2nd generation version of much cheaper mortal highly trained soldiers instead. Crimson still took part in the 2nd generation training as it would benefit him heavily in the future. Nearly all the 1st generation soldiers have died after during the first augmentations, now Crimson was the only one left. Crimson was nearly ready for field testing against a zebra base. The Commandos were originally going to attack there but the Scientists decided to surprise the Commandos instead by killing everyone there before they did. He now had to wait until he was deployed. He smiled at the fact that this could get Dark's Attention.
Going to attack Fort GreyZeb in Alpha Zector 152. Planning to use C.L. for raid, beat Comms to the punch Dark read the highly punctuated and hurried letter of her insider in Big Mount. She used him to keep an eye out for Crimson, she was surprised that he was the only one left from his original group, but all the better that he lived on. Dark turned to her terminal and typed up an email to her commander of the forces in the area of the Fort. New orders, attack Fort Act-Fru in Beta Xector 18251. Commander Dark Light. P.S. Keep a blockade on the fort, but if a certain pony wants in, let him. Record results and send then to me directly in an encrypted file. Over and out.
(Attack on the fort.) Crimson walked towards the commandos that were attacking Fort Act-Fru like it was nopony’s business. The commandos were taking heavy fire at the center of the fort. He was told that the commandos would let him inside and basically destroy the Zebras. ‘Funny’ he thought ‘How a war can be changed by a single individual.’ Crimson smiled at the thought of Darks involvement as he arrived at the gate, guarded by two commandos. “You’re Crimson Lionheart, Right?” One of the commandos said. Crimson could easily tell he was scared, this might have been his first time in the field. “That’s me; tell me your commander is.” Crimson said as he looked dead in the eye with the commando. “We aretaking heavy fire near the center; you might need some armor protection in their sir.” The Second commando said towards him. Crimson walked past the gate with his tomahawk being levitated. “I don’t need it.” Crimson then walked through the camp until he found the commandos; he then jumped from building to building in a zig zag fashion and then jumped onto the zebras below and began to tear them apart one by one with frightening speed and power.
Dark was relaxing at her house when she heard the sound of a message being recieved at her terminal. Interested she got up at went to look at it. Pony said that you would show up to Fort GreyZeb showed up to Act-Fru, proceeded to take down all those inside with relative ease. What should we do? General Fire Rage. Dark's eyes narrowed a bit before replying. Get the pony to come to Ponyville immediately, tell him I wish to see him. Commander Dark Light, Over and Out.
After massacring the rest of the base with ease. Crimson got the invitation to see Dark once again. Crimson was given a pipbuck as a thank you present from the scientists, knowing he did a really good job. This would be the first time Crimson would get to see Dark in 7 years; she would have aged quite a bit while he would only have aged a day. He arrived at Darks house at sunset, knowing what would follow.
Dark opened the door to Crimson, "Oh hello again Crimson. Nice to see you again, come on inside." she told him. Crimson had been right, she had aged, a lot, thanks to her high-stress position. The grey streaks in her blood red mane were clearly obvious, but she somehow still somehow that same energy and do-it attitude. Dark went into her sitting room and sat down on her couch, "Have a seat Crimson, we have a lot to talk about." She told him.
“Hello Dark, it’s been a long time” He told her. He was quite surprised about how much she has aged. Crimson took his seat while Dark took her’s. “So where do we begin… What do you want to talk about.”
"A lot of things. I shall start with the most obvious, are you okay? I have felt the guilt of taking you to that facility every single day. I have been keeping an eye on you, but I want to know how YOU feel before we go on." Dark said, stormclouds gathering in her head as she thought about one of the things she wished to talk about.
