Snow trotted back over to Orchid after making sure the other rescued ponies got out of the town safe and sound, all of them armed and supplied for the journey through looting, "Hey, why aren't you going?" She asked, "Don't you wish to get out of here?"
Orchid looked around to see Snow. "I'll be fine for the time being." she replied, taking out a brush. "I'll be leaving within a couple of minutes, don't worry."
Snow nodded slowly, falling silent for a few moments, before suddenly pipping up, "Hey, Orchid, mind if I accompany you? I honestly have not the slightest clue of where to go in this Wasteland, I hardly even remember myself other than being over 250 years old, as I've spent the entire time since the Last Day in Cryogenic Frozen Animation, and I doubt I would make it long without an exprienced Wasteland pony such as yourself. Do you mind? In exchange, if we come across any Mark Co facilities, I will unlock the door for you."
"Absolutely. You did rescue me after all, I would only be acceptable if I travelled with you. The more the merrier" Orchid replied, getting out the bath and gathering her clothes. Her head popping over a shower curtain. "Next to my clothes is a map. Feel free to learn about what towns and so forth had appeared since then."
Snow waved it off, "That's uploaded to my PIN, I just don't know what's friendly and what's not." Snow replied, "But thanks for accepting! Anyways...Why are you so seemingly unsurprised by my age? I'ld be really weirded out if I was in your place and the pony I was talking too was over 200 years older than me and yet looked like sure just reached marehood." Snow continued before brushing her mane out of her eyes, "I don't know, just a little curious."
Orchid just shrugged it off. "I've seen ponies as old as you, who are called Ghoulpony's because...you will find out. But yes, it's kind of awkward when you put it like that."
Snow nodded slowly, "Alright." She said before sitting down, "Now...Any idea on where we should go after this? I remember through a holo tape I left myself that my home was Ponyville, maybe going there could help refresh my memory, but I'm certain that you wanna get to a safe settlement to rest for a bit, and I have no idea if this "Ponyville" is safe.
"I would stay away from all major cities, the majority of them being deathtraps due to the raiders and slavers that use the cities as their headquarters's. Stay away from Fillydelphia, it's essentially the slaver capital of Equestria." Orchied explained. "Canterlot is nearly uninhabitable since the majority of the zebra mega spells hit the capital." Orchid explained before taking out a shiny red apple and taking a bite, somewhat of a delicacy in some areas of the wastes. "However, quite alot of settlements have popped up. I personally find that the more isolated, the safer they are. The largest friendly town is New Appleloosa, but that's a fair distance from here. "
(Remember, Canterlot is uninhabitable because of the Pink Cloud) "Ponyville isn't exactly "major" or a "city"..." Snow muttered, "But thanks." She then looked up at the walls to see only one peice of it not covered in gore and/or graffiti, it was her face, looking much older, staring back at her with a soft smile from a poster that had the captions, "Mark Co: We're here to help!" Snow felt something 'click' in her head in relation to the poster and how it somehow escaped the fate of the rest of the wall, and even how it seemed brand new, it's bright pastel colors looking out of place. "Tiflometphate." She suddenly said aloud, "It's the material used for my Mark Co advertisements. I liked to call it Tif-lo. I...I remember it was this material that was unmarkable, and never aged unless treated with a certain chemical that dissolved the Tif-lo. It was a jab at the Ministry propaganda, my way of saying "Your ministries likely won't last beyond the War, Mark Co will last as long as it wishes to." Heck, the entire advertisement caimpaign was actually a jab at ministry propaganda, which was always having to do with war or something, so I made something that would let ponies know that they still had at least a little bit of sanity and pre-war times around..." She shook her head, "Well, there's a memory, it just doesn't do us any good..Anyways, if it's a ways away, we might as well get goin then huh?"
(My mistake) Orchid could not help but be fascinated about the story that Snow told her. She just stood staring directly at the wall, she just learned something new. She stretched before looking at Snow. "Sure. Let's get going."
(Okayz, I'll start off) A few days after leaving the town on the edge of the Empty Plains, a journey that went mainly uneventful aside from the occasional raider or memory comin back to Snow, Orchid and Snow finally came within sight of New Applesloosa. "I remember Old Appleloosa..." Snow muttered as they approached the metal town, "Nice place, surprisingly well put together for only being built in a year." She noted to Orchid, "Wondee if they managed to deserve the title "New Appleloosa"." She looked at Orchid, "However, anything I should know before we go in?"
"It's a relatively peaceful settlement. For defense, an obvious ring of boxcars serves as a wall to protect the town, and ponies stand guard as sentries. It also is a trade center." Orchid replied. "That's just the basics anyway, not need the explain anything else. The town kinda explains itself."
Snow nodded in response, remaining quiet all the way until they entered the town, which soon lead to their overhearing of recent exploits from a "Calamity and Littlepip and Velvet Remedy". Snow simply shook her head to block out the talking, "So...where to first?"
"Stable 24 is a few hours by hoof west of New Appleloosa, but Old Appleoosa is roughly the same distance to the South-west." Orchid replied. "Either way, it really depends on what you want to do. Should we stay here for the rest of the afternoon to stock up or head somewhere else ?"
"I say we stick around and stock up and rest." Snow said, "Tomorrow, we should go try to find something that will spark my memory, I don't like not being able to remember even what I was like before getting frozen."
(Sure, les go to a bit more interesting time, you decide ^^. It can be Ponyville or them stumbling across any Mark Co facility)
(Let's start with Ponyville) The two mares encountered Ponyville, the largest farming settlement in the Equestrian countryside prior to the war and now in ruins and has become a center for raider activity in the wasteland. What was surprising that the raiders that once used the town as their hub had been killed. The ruins of the town still survived, but the ghostly presence of lifelessness struck around the town. Orchid was quite surprised. The last time she heard, Ponyville was an enormous hub of activity in the wastes for raiders. She knew some of these Raiders would negotiate with slavers, allowing them to pay tolls for passage through the raider nest or they would just kill them. If the slavers were allowed entry, they could even purchase new slaves and leave. The two of them were nearby what used to be Sweet Apple Acres, where Orchid decided to speak about the once beautiful town. "I know that Ponyville was not particularly the nicest place around, but this place must have been wonderful before the war. It was mentioned is post-war books that this place was a free-for-all raider hideout. Many raiders or even would kill to have this place under their belt."
