"Alright everypony, take what you need to survive, not what you just feel like taking." Crimson yelled out to his group. They all then took weapons and armor, Crimson still kept his weapons but got extra ammo for them. Most of the G2's took the same armor, but Crimson then Branded them with his own Symbol which he and the G2's made while back in Big Mountain. "We are now a military force in Equestria, but just remember that Me and Dark are your commanders and what we say is the law. We move out in 10 minutes."
"I can get some Commando back up very quickly, it never hurts to have elite units backing you up that have been fighting these guys for over 8 years now on their home turf." Dark said, "Now stay here, I need to grab some things." Dark disappered deep into the building and did not return for several minutes, but when she didm she was wearing an armor that was completely black, had a red visor, and armored wing and mane covers, on it's back rested Silent Death in a holster and another weapon that looked pretty strange. On Dark's hoof, Head Hunter was sheathed in a scabbard similar to the one one the back of her Pipbuck, "Alright, let's move out." she said.
"Wait, Shoud we warn the ministry mares about this, Big Mountain is a major research facility and they have to know what just happened." One of the G2 mares said thowards Crimson and Dark. Crimson thought about what the mare just said. "I dont know about that idea, should we Dark ? That way, we can have the regular forces backing us up as well."
Dark shook her head, "No, I am sick and tired of them telling me what to do, how to do it, when to do it, for how long to do it! I am going to do this on my own with my Commandos even if it costs us our dissolvation and an interrogation by the Ministry of Morale! We need a break through on the front lines, and damn it, this is the only chance we have for the forseeable future. I am going to get my Commandos, tell them to attack everywhere, and while the zebra are scrambling to try to fight them, we kill them all!" Dark said, voice getting on the edge of lunacy, "I have spent too many years sitting in Ponyville, trying to win an unwinnable war from the sidelines. The regular forces get all the glory, but who's the ones that make it possible, the Commandos! And Celestia damn it, I am going to show the whole damned world that we should be feared for more than petty raids and blockades!" Dark then lifted her Pipbuck leg to her arm, "One second." she told them. She hit in a few things and then said, "Major Generals Free Heart and Red Glory, commence the Offensive now! To hell with the Ministries! After we're done, their going to be thanking us!" Dark said angrily into the Pipbuck, "Over and out!" she turned to the group, "Let's roll." Upon Dark saying that, a weird craft rose from the floor, "I call it the Vertibuck, come on, we're leaving!"
(Last post for today) "Right behind you..." Crimson said as he boarded the Vertibuck. The G2's followed Crimson and Dark onto the Vertibuck and disapeared into the skys
Dark guided the Vertibuck over the front lines, flipping a switch on the dashboard that turned the Vertibuck and it's occupants invisible, "The technology behind Stealthbucks were adapted into these things allowing for them to easily slip behind enemy lines. This is how the Commandos get from their own lines back home when they go on leave." Dark explained, "It has enough charge to take us virtually anywhere in the zebra nation unseen." Dark turned to control the Vertibuck as the inside was still visible to the occupants.
"Im impressed, Where about's are we heading ?" Crimson said to Dark. He prepared his weapons just incase of an attack, which was unlikely since he was in a invisiable veritbuck, but it could happen. The G2's were silent, trying not to remember what had happened at Big Mountain. They were inspired by Crimson and Dark's leadership and want to be just like them.
"There's one tough nut of a fort to crack that the Commandos have being attacking from behind while the regulars attack its front, this time, their going to be fighting on three fronts." Dark said. "Once we land, I'm going to let you off and then lead a Commando charge at the fort, stay hidden until then, when you hear fighting and gunfire, come out and surprise them from the inside. And very likely the regulars will take notice and attack as well, the zebras there will be simply overwhelmed with problems if it works."
"Good idea, the G2's here will assist the regular forces. We should get ready" Crimson and Dark then arrived at the base. Like Dark said, He and a Commando Squad hid behind cover while he waited for gunshots. He was ready for the attack, the G2's were ready and Dark was going to give the signal. "Get Ready, we are going to drive the Zebras out this camp, if they are to slow to run, kill them." Crimson said as he ordered the Commandos.
Within hours, the sound of a massive explosions followed by the sounds of Zebra gunfire(As Commando CK-RA's made no noise) filled the base as the Commandos attacked the base in their largest assualt in history, over half the entire Commando army in the Zebra nation was there. Vertibucks filled the skies, enjoying complete air superiority for the first time in the multiple assualts on the fort.
(Meanwhile...) Crimson and two commandos found a way to sneak into the building of the zebra base. They only encountered scientists, so they let them live as long as they never threatened Equestria again. It wasn’t long until Crimson noticed a lone terminal in a corner turned on. With the rest of the Commandos attacking the rest of the base, Crimson began to read what the terminal contained, only to find out that this could turn the tide of the battle if no action was taken. Coordinates: 6187353i84. Ordinance: 5 orbital missiles containing very low megaspell capability. Used as a last resort in case of catastrophic assault by Equestria. Time until impact. 1 minute. Recommended distance from megaspell: 1km “We will die with honor.” “Oh sweet Celestria have mercy!” Crimson then looked at the Commandos. “EVACURATE THE BASE NOW! “ The Commandos ran as fast as they could out the building to warn the rest of the commandos, Crimson alerted Dark with a headset. “Dark, it’s me. The Base is being targeted with a suicide orbital attack. The missiles contain very low level megaspell capability; just get as far away as you can. Don’t worry about me, can survive these attacks, but I don’t want you or anypony else to die. Just head for the hill’s and try not to watch the base being blown sky high.”
Dark was at the head of the closest Commando unit to the base when she heard Crimson's message, she looked up at the base, barely 250 meters from her, snorted nd frustration and yelled into her comm unit, "INCOMING MEGASPELL MISSILES!!! TURN TAIL AND RUN!!!" after some minor confusion, the order's meaning quickly swept through the attackers and they broke off the attack, making sure not to stop until a good 2 km away. "Crimson, keep those megaspells pointed at that base!" was the only thing Dark said to Crimson before leaving the comm units range with him.
“Got it. Just run and get the hell out of there!” Crimson then sat at the terminal attempting to keep the missiles on the base. He found out that the missiles don’t change direction but remain on that one target, and that target was the roof literally above his head. “Dark, the missile system is designed to keep focus on only one target. You are just outside the safety radio, but I won’t be so lucky.” The sky then unleashed a large ripple and the missiles began to come down. “Here we go…”
Dark turned her head just as the missles hit and a light brighter than the sun filled the sky. As it faded away, Dark looked back to see a sickly shened rainbow colored mushroom forming over the old location of the base. Dark looked at the deadly cloud in awe and thought about what would happen if worse came to worse and both sides started flinging megaspells even more powerful than this one at each other. Dark gulped and hoped that the radiation wouldn't hurt Crim too bad.
Crimson crawled out of the rubble of what was once a Zebra base. He wasn’t hurt too bad, but the radiation might prove otherwise, as he wasn’t tested on radiation yet. The top part of his armor was reduced to taters and the rest of his armor wasn’t in good shape. He looked east to see where Dark and the rest of the Commandos were. The radiation around the base was fatal, but proved Crim that he was immune. He got up and walked to Dark, like nothing ever happened.
The Commandos looked at Crim in amazement as they realized that he had just survived that. As he got close to Dark, a small smile appeared on her face, "Good to see that you can survive megaspells." she remarked, "Though I am surprised they did that, they basically just opened up a hole in their lines for the next 500 kilometers. I guess that proves that they are getting desperate."
“Good to see you to.” Crimson joked back to Dark. “They really are desperate, Now that we just punched a hole in their defenses, it won’t be long before they do it again.” Crimson, Dark and the rest of the commandos and G2’s spent the rest of the day camping in Zebra territory. There were campfires and everyone had at least had one shot in watch. Laughter filled the air as they celebrated what they just achieved. But what happened that night to Crimson changed his life, He had this nightmare where he saw the future and the exact day and time when the last day will happen.
Dark woke in the morning, now knowing a lot more on the zebras than the day before. She got out of bed and after cleaning up quickly, went out to explore the camp, where she eventually came apon Crimson who looked quite secluded, she sat down next to him, "What's wrong Crimson?" she asked, not used to seeing him in this state.
“Hello Dark, Last night I had this dream but it was more of a nightmare. Two years from now on October 23rd. (the day the bombs fell in fallout) Equestria and the rest of the world is going to be reduced to a wasteland after a Megaspell attack. All of our cities will be destroyed or vaporized. And billions will die. Pony kind will be on its last legs, So, remember this Dark, when this day comes, get in a stable and survive. No matter what, just survive. I’ll be fine, but I don’t know what to say about everypony else. This dream ended with the citys in rubble. I don’t know what happens after.” Crimson said to Dark, he was scared. “Just remember, I’ll be there for you.”
Dark had a surprised look on her face, "That's quite...the vision there Crim. I will take your word and take my family into Stable 2 the day before. I promise I will survive."
