(When Crimson arrived at Junction Town a couple days later) Julion had decided to join some of his Commandos that were guarding the gate into Junction Town, it was better than nothing and it was good for the regular units to meet their commander face to face. They watched as a pony none reconized approach the town, eventually arriving at the gate, "State you name and business." Julion demanded to the new pony. To Crimson, there would be no doubt that this was the Soldier, as he could clearly see the famous scar on Julion's face.
“You must be the solider….” Crimson began. “I’m Crimson Lionheart, King of Los Pegasus. I came to give you some news, you would find it very interesting.” Crimson said to Julion. He noticed the guns that the commandos were aiming at his head, making sure that he made no threat. “Tell your buddies to lower their weapons, I mean no harm and your weapons won’t harm me at all. Even the original commandos were not this cautious.”
Julion's eyes narrowed, "What do you know of the old Commandos? Yes, I am the Soldier, anyways, welcome to Junction Town." he then looked around, "And I guess whatever you have to say is much more interesting than just sitting around all day." Julion twirled Silent Death back into its holster and went down to meet with this Crimson guy.
"Oh, i know alot about the old commandos,Trust me." Crimson walked thowards Julion as he was coming down. "I must tell you this in private, we dont want anypony else knowing this. This is between you and me." Julion then escorted Crimson to another area of Junction Town, where he would tell Julion about what was happening in the south east.
Julion opned the door into his house and let Crimson in, "There, here we can talk in private." The room that they were in was quite simple, a couch with a terminal and lining the walls were cases of weapons from Dark Light's old armory. After Julion shut the door, he turned to Crimson, "What do you want to talk about?"
" I came to warn you about what was happening in the South East, just past what used to be the Zebra's boarders. You obviously have heard of Red Eye, well, there is this Slaver leader known as Arcade. A enormous griffon who leads a empire of tribes and annexed citys. He is much worse then Red Eye, if he cant get what he wants, he kills innocents or works them to death. Im telling you this because he plans to rule New Equestria and will wipe out what we had just spent the last 200 years rebuilding." Crimson's eyes turned to the weapon cases, he recognised them instantly. "Exactly how well do you know your family history solider? Because i might help you with that."
Quite a change of subject, Julion thought, "Uh, I know that I am descendant from the founder of the original Commandos, a pegasus by the name of Dark Light. Anyways, on this Arcade fellow, trust me, if he invades New Equestria, he is going to have one hell of a time. Ever since Celestia came back, we have very well reunified. Besides, if he wants New Equestria, he will have to go through me first."
Crimson laughed a little. "Of course Arcade will, it's finally good to see Celestria again. And believe it or not, i knew Dark Light from before the war. Me and Her were very close friends and very good soliders. The way you took out of stable 2 wasnt stable 2's armory but was her armory. I should tell you about myself and what exactly happened to me but i believe that it would bore you." Crimson then pulled a map from pipbuck up, noticing arcades presence around New Equestria. "Ever heard of Big Mountain ?"
Julion shook his head, "Nope. Never heard of it. Only heard of Marigold, trust me on that as I've been there, one hellhole that place is." Julion suddenly remembered what Crimson first said, "You knew Dark Light?"
"Yes, i knew her. That was because it was destoryed several years before the last day, im the last living survivor. Marigold is where the ministry mares changed from the super solider program to the artificial alicorns program, that did not end well. Now im not a ghoul pony, not even in the slightest. But im very different from everypony else, i was the founder the Brotherhood of Life ." Crimson said trying to remember his memorys of big mountain. " And i guess you havent heard of them either..."
" This is what i know. My auntie and Dark Light were very good friends, both helping each other with diplomatic and military reasons in the Equestrian government. Me and Dark got along really well together and i trained to become a commando but i was drafted to Big Mountain instead, 7 years later, which i was isolated from the rest of the world from. I was sent to take down an entire zebra base. Me and Dark got to see each other again, and then Big Mountain was destoryed by the Zebras." "After that Me, Dark,the rest of the G2's and the commandos went to take down Zebra bases in their territory. Then they tried to kill everypony at a base by firing orbital megaspell missiles. I survived and so did Dark. We then spent 2 years trying to take down more bases but i had this dream about the last day. I told her and her family to get into stable 2 a day before the last day. She survived the war but i was denied access into stable 2. Her last wish to me was to take back a city once the bombs fell and to enjoy my life. I never seen her again, so i did her wish and took back Los Pegasis from raiders. I set up an emipre until it's assention into New Equestria and the rest is history" Crimson said sadly but had a small smile on his face about her wish. "Anything else you want to know or shall we warn Celestria about Arcade?"
"Um, not anything of importance right now. Now come on, we can take the train." Julion told Crimson, "And don't worry about appointments, being a friend of the leader of the nation really helps."
"It helps, but she knows me as well believe it or not. Me and Her both organised for my kingdom to become another part of New Equestria." Crimson and Julion as they got onto the train. "Let's get going."
Julion nodded, "Right, let's go." The pair appeared Celestia two days later, her throne room nowadays was much different from that of old, it was a simple wooden chair in a large hall. "Ah, Crimson, Ju-Soldier, glad you stopped by." Celestia said.
"Thank you princess but we have news for you. Do you know about Arcade in the South east, because he has plans that he is going to invade New Equestria. I know this because my daughter has scouted the area and said that she has seen about 50,000 + soliders moving across what was once Roam thowards hoofington. She is on her way to Los Pegasis now to watch over the city, we dont do anything now then all New Equestria will be destoryed." Crimson said to Celestria. Celestria was very surprised about Crimsons knowledge about Arcade. She was serious now, "Solider, take Crimson and get ready to defend Hoofington. I will send the regular forces as soon as i can."
Julion smiled as he walked out, "Bout time I see some action." he lifted his Pipbuck to his eyes and hit in a series of commands into it, one that sent the alert to the Commando officers and one that set armor expanding around Julion, until he was encased of a suit of armor similar to Dark's, "Let's ride."
Crimson laughed, this would be his first battle in over 200 years. Crimson put on his Black Elite Riot armor, he had no use for the helmet as he was virtrally bulletproof. He had 3 weapons with him, Final Requiem, his signautre lever action rifle, a brand new energy sword and a handgun similar to a 45 auto. He followed Julion, "This should be fun, this is my first battle in over 200 years."
"Wow, I feel sorry for you." Julion said with a glance to Crimson, "Let's just get there and be done with it." (Alright, let's fast-forward to right before the battle, and try not to do what you usually do Crimson, tone it down a bit. I want to kill some to ya know!)
( I'll leave some alive for you ) Arcades army was much bigger then A.D had said it was. instead of 50,000 like she said, it was closer to half a million. The sky around Hoofington was blood red due to the fires that were being caused by the army and the clouds. The city was being defended by 3 waves of soliders, the regulars, the commandos and Crimson and Julion. Arcade himself wasnt leading the attack, so he left his commander to "Clean up the mess". Crimson stood on the city's wall, he was going to be sniper for this battle and when their numbers are low enough, charge in and wipe them out. He waited for Julion to give the signal to attack.
